I am impeaching Secretary Kristi Noem, who is an incompetent leader and a disgrace to our democracy.

She wreaked havoc in the Chicagoland area and has brought her reign of terror to Minneapolis. One of her rogue ICE agents shot and killed an innocent woman today. It must come to an end.

I am proud to share that I earned a perfect score on the @HRC Congressional Scorecard for the 119th Congress!

But the score matters less than the people behind it. I know that the work for equality is far from done.

I will continue to fight alongside & advocate for the LGBTQ+ community.

Illinois is a manufacturing powerhouse, and the 2nd District is part of that.

I spent time with three local manufacturers yesterday in my district and met the people behind the machines.

Manufacturing is essential to our economy, and I am proud to stand with them.

Social Security recently announced a 3.6% cost of living adjustment for January 2027.

That’s about $75 a month, barely enough to fill a tank of gas, let alone the $1,000 Trump’s tariffs will cost Americans annually.

The economy that Republicans flaunt continues to prove detrimental to the pockets of Americans.

163 days of promising to bring prices down and failing to deliver.

We have now reached the most days in a year with gas prices above $4 a gallon in U.S. history.

Trump’s Iran War continues to make life more expensive for Americans.

Last Tuesday, I met with the new Consul General of India in Chicago, Dr. M. Anand Prakash.

With 20 years in foreign service, Dr. Prakash will no doubt help strengthen the ties between India and the Midwest.

Welcome to Chicago! I hope you packed a jacket!

Illinois, tomorrow is the last day to register to vote online!

Make sure you and your friends are registered and start making plans to vote next month! You can still register in person up to and on Election Day.

This midterm, your voice matters more than ever.

Statement from Congresswoman Robin Kelly about suspicious letter received at her district office:

Bigotry is not welcomed in this country.

My thoughts are with everyone present at the Hindu temple in Aurora. I am grateful no one was harmed.

As Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close, I want to emphasize the importance Hispanic Americans have to the history and culture of Chicago and Illinois’s second congressional district.

Recognizing our Hispanic communities does not end after October 15th.

A Council on Criminal Justice report found that community violence intervention is one of the biggest contributors towards the decrease in the national homicide rate.

This is why CVI programs matter—and I will continue advocating to fund them, just as I have my entire career.

47 years ago, the first National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights took place.

More than 100,000 individuals protested in what was a monumental step in the fight for equality.

Now, it matters more than ever to protect the progress made by our LGBTQ+ community.

The @DemWomenCaucus and I are deeply disgusted by DHS and ICE’s failure to provide care for and account for miscarriages and pregnancy-related medical outcomes in detention centers.

@RepPettersen, @RepBeatty, and I led a letter condemning their actions.

They must be held accountable.

I stand with @Ilhan.

Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day!

I’d like to commemorate and honor the rich cultures and histories of Native American communities.

Today is a perfect opportunity to celebrate, educate, and appreciate Indigenous Peoples across the United States.
