In the past three years, we have achieved extraordinary milestones, proving our worth and the constant growth of our team. Unfortunately, last night did not go as we had hoped. We came in fourth, fourth in the world. If someone had told us this a few years ago, it would have been a dream, but today, after so much hard work and dedication, the result leaves a bit of a bitter taste. Io capisco tutto, che la cultura sportiva sia poca roba. E di certo non si compra nello scaffale di un supermercato.
Ma se leggo "Flop Arese nei 1500" come titolo...mi metto le mani nei capelli. Nessuna lezione di giornalismo, per carità (non sono nessuno per farla), conosco pure le problematiche di redazioni spolpate (da editori che vogliono solo risparmiare, da un mercato che preferisce gli influecer ai giornalisti...).
Quindi, spesso nelle redazioni, ci si ritrova a lavorare in 4 gatti, dovendo fare i salti mortali.
Ma leggere "Flop Arese nei 1500" su un sito nazionale...per commentare un ottavo posto in una finale olimpica (finale, sottolineo) e soprattutto dopo che l'atleta azzurro ha DEMOLITO il record italiano: 3'30"74 (predecedente record sempre di Pietro Arese 3'32"12 corso a fine maggio).
Capisco che:
Chi lo ha scritto non abbia mai visto in vita sua un 1500 di atletica. Ovvio.
Che le cose cambiano in peggio...
E invidio tanto. Ma tanto. La cultura sportiva di francesi &Co.

Today, I wanted to demonstrate once again that, despite all the difficulties one may encounter in life, it's important to know how to fall and get back up each time. It's what I've always done. In last night's final, I had a great start and tried to push until the end. The others ran very fast, and I gave it my all. This past year has been complex; I had to change everything: country, coach, training partners, and much more. However, I always believed in this project. Achieving 9.85 is an important result. I'm a bit disappointed because I felt there was a chance to win a medal. In the coming days, I'll focus on the 4x100 relay, where I'll give all my energy.⚡️ Thank you all for the support; Marcell Jacobs' career doesn't end here. ❤️
There are still many goals to achieve in the next four years.
