Multi-directional Speed Tip #6 - The Surface Matters
You warm up your body. Do you warm up to your surface? Lean, force, and traction all change under your feet. Train where you play. #PerformanceCoaching
Tip #5 - Add Randomness
Mastering a set drill is step one. Step two is reaction — audible cues, visual stimuli, chaos. If they only perform when they know what's coming, they're not ready for the game.
Tip #4 — Fast But Controlled
True agility is about maintaining technique when things get fast. Ask yourself: after that movement, could your athlete flow into the next one? If not, they're not in control — they're surviving the drill. #AgilityTraining#SpeedAndAgility
Multi-directional Speed Tip #3 - Teach in Pieces - Before putting a full movement together, break it apart. Can they own each position? Can they execute each section in isolation? Then — and only then — do we connect it all.
Multi-directional Speed Tip #1 - Start with Functional Movement. It’s not just for the warm up. It’s the foundation of quality movement skill training. #AgilityTraining
