Just landed in Chennai after an aborted landing attempt which the Co-Pilot later explained was due to an ATC instruction to abort based on "unexpected movement on the runway."

While I've experienced other aborted landings around the world in a life filled with travel, they have always been weather-related - the pilot and/or ATC deciding that the risk is beyond tolerance due to wind shifts or rain/snow/ice.

Such "runway protocol" exceptions are signs of potential Infrastructure/ATC overload, and therefore potentially pose grave risk of systemic failure. I trust the @DGCAIndia and the @MoCA_GoI have a procedure in place to analyze every single such instance, and draw lessons to improve runway protocols.

Throughout the history of civil aviation, the takeoff and landing are the riskiest parts of any flight. Infrastructure/Administrative overload should not increase this further, especially in India where growth in civil aviation shines as one of the brightest spots in our development over the past decades.

ஏனெனில், TVK தலைவர் விஜய் அவர்கள் தலைமையிலான அரசுக்கு காங்கிரஸ் உறுதுணையாக நின்றது.
மேலும், பாஜக ஆதரவுடன் பழனிசாமி தலைமையிலான ஆட்சியை அமைக்கும் திட்டத்திற்கு முற்றுப்புள்ளி வைத்தது.

மக்களின் தீர்ப்பிலிருந்து கவனத்தை திசைதிருப்பும் அரசியல் சில காலம் உதவலாம்.

KARNATAKA, MAY 2018

• Results declared 15 May. BJP - single largest with 104 of 224. Eight short of the majority mark of 112.

• Congress (78) + JD(S) (37) = 115 seats. (More than majority). With supporting MLAs, signatures of 117 MLAs were submitted to the Governor staking claim.

• Vote share: Congress 38.14%, BJP 36.35%. Congress polled more votes than BJP.

• 16 May: Governor Vajubhai Vala invites the BJP - the party with fewer seats than the post-poll alliance, and fewer votes than the Congress alone.

• 17 May: BSY sworn in as CM.

• 6 May: Vijay meets Governor Rajendra Arlekar at Lok Bhavan, stakes claim as the single largest party, submits the Congress letter of support.

• 7 May: Governor’s official communiqué , the requisite majority support … has not been established.” Demand: produce signed letters from 118 MLAs before any swearing-in.

• 3 days since result. No invitation. No oath. No 15-day window. No floor test. Not even a date.

The principle suddenly invoked in 2026: produce 118 signatures inside Raj Bhavan before you can become Chief Minister.

Why this ARITHMETIC OF DOUBLE STANDARDS?

Same Constitution. Same Sarkaria Commission. Same S.R. Bommai (1994). Same Rameshwar Prasad (2006).

The rulebook bends for BJP?

When BJP is the single largest party, the floor of the House is sacred.

When BJP is not, Lok Bhavan becomes the new floor.

BJP will pay heavily for this new type of Vote Chori.

அதன் பின்னர் சட்டப்பேரவையில் பெரும்பான்மையை நிரூபிக்க கால அவகாசம் அளிக்க வேண்டும். காங்கிரஸ் கட்சி ஏற்கனவே தன் ஐந்து சட்டமன்ற உறுப்பினர்களின் ஆதரவை கடிதம் மூலம் அளித்துள்ள நிலையில், வேறு எந்த கட்சியும் முன்வரவில்லை என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது. ஆனால், இவற்றையெல்லாம் குறிப்பிடாமல், வேண்டுமென்றே உள்நோக்கத்தோடு திருமாவளவன் அவர்களும் கம்யூனிஸ்டுகளும் பாஜகவை விமர்சனம் செய்வது கடும் கண்டனத்திற்குரியது.

ஐந்து ஆண்டுகாலம் திராவிட மாடல் திமுக ஆட்சியில் நடைபெற்ற அவலங்களை, அக்கிரமங்களை, அராஜகங்களை, சட்ட ஒழுங்கு சீர்கேட்டை, பெண்களுக்கெதிரான பாலியல் குற்றங்களை, அதிலும் குறிப்பாக பெண் குழந்தைகளுக்கு எதிரான பாலியல் குற்றங்களை, போதை பொருள் புழக்கத்தை, மது அருந்தும் பழக்கம் உச்சத்திற்கு சென்றதை கண்டு கொள்ளாமல், அமைதி காத்து, கைகட்டி, வாய்பொத்தி நின்று, தமிழகம் சீரழிந்து போனதற்கு முழு பொறுப்பேற்க வேண்டிய கம்யூனிஸ்டுகளும், காங்கிரஸும், திருமாவளவனும் இப்போது நீலிக்கண்ணீர் வடித்துக் கொண்டு, மக்கள் அளித்த தீர்ப்பை மதிக்காமல் பாஜகவை விமர்சிப்பது மலிவான அரசியல் தானே? நேற்று வரை த வெ கவை விமர்சித்ததோடு மட்டுமல்லாமல், விஜய் அவர்களை பாஜக வால் உருவானவர், பாஜக வின் 'B' டீம் என்றெல்லாம் விமர்சித்த திருமாவளவன் அவர்கள் ஆட்சியில் பங்கு, அதிகாரத்தில் பங்கு என்ற கனவில் மிதந்து கொண்டிருப்பது வெட்கக்கேடான செயல்.

ஜனநாயக ரீதியாக நடைபெற்ற தேர்தலின் முடிவை அனைவரும் மதித்து நடந்து கொள்ள வேண்டிய அதே வேளையில், அரசியலமைப்பு சட்டத்தின் படியே ஆட்சி அமைய வேண்டும். குதிரைப் பேரங்கள் தவிர்க்கப்பட வேண்டும், சந்தர்ப்பவாதம் முறியடிக்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்பதையெல்லாம் உறுதி செய்ய உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ள சட்டத்தின் படி ஆளுநர் முடிவெடுக்க வேண்டும்.

While fabricated allegations are repeatedly thrown at Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhiji , he continues to stand firm raising the voice of every common Indian, every farmer, every youth, and every marginalized community.

Dear brothers and sisters from Bharat:

Like I did 37 years ago, you arrived in America with no money but with a good education and cultural heritage from Bharat. You achieved outstanding success. America was good to us. For that we must remain grateful - gratitude is our Bharatiya way.

Yet today, a significant number of Americans, may be not the majority but not too far from it either, believe that Indians "take away" American jobs and our success in America was unfairly earned.

You may think the next election will fix this, but your choice would be between people who hate our Bharatiya civilisation and people who hate civilisation itself. That is the "hard right" vs "woke left" battle. You are mere bystanders to that conflict.

Meanwhile there is one thing that is true now and will be true in the future: the respect Indians command world-wide will substantially depend on the fortunes of India herself. If India remains poor, the woke left will give us moral lectures with pity and the hard right, different moral lectures with scorn ("hellhole") and we must not confuse either with respect.

Respect in today's world, along with prosperity and security, comes from one source: a nation's technological prowess. India produces sufficient brain power to achieve that prowess but alas we exported so much of that talent, particularly to America. As we develop that prowess in India, our civilisational strength will assert itself.

As difficult as it is for many of you to contemplate this, please come back home. Bharat Mata needs your talent. Our vast youthful population needs the technology leadership you gained over the years to guide them towards prosperity. Let's do it with a missionary zeal.

தேநீர்கடைகள், சிற்றுண்டிகள், உணவகங்கள் போன்றவை தனித்த வணிகங்கள்  அல்ல. உணவகங்களுக்கு தேவையான உணவு தானியங்கள்  உள்ளிட்ட மூலப்பொருள்கள் கொள்முதல்,  உணவு வகைகள் தயாரிக்கப்பட்ட பிறகு அவற்றை பல்வேறு வகையான வாடிக்கையாளர்களுக்கு வினியோகம் செய்தல் என மிகப்பெரிய கொள்முதல் மற்றும் வினியோகச் சங்கிலியை உணவகங்கள் கொண்டுள்ளன.  அவை மூடப்பட்டால் மூலப்பொருள்கள் கொள்முதல் செய்யப்படாததால்  உழவர்கள் உள்ளிட்ட பல்வேறு தரப்பினர் பாதிக்கப்படுவார்கள். அவர்கள் மட்டுமின்றி, உணவகப் பணியாளர்கள், உணவகங்களை சார்ந்துள்ள  சொமோட்டோ, ஸ்விக்கி போன்ற வீடுகளுக்கு உணவு வழங்கும் சேவையில் ஈடுபட்டுள்ள நிறுவனங்களின் பணியாளர்கள் வேலை இழக்கும் நிலை உருவாகும்.

அதுமட்டுமின்றி பணி நிமித்தமாக வீடுகளை விட்டு  வெளியில் செல்லும் அடித்தட்டு  தொழிலாளர்கள் உள்ளிட்டோருக்கு உணவு கிடைக்காத நிலை  உருவாகும்.  ஏழை, எளிய மக்களின் பசி போக்கும் பணியில்  ஈடுபட்டிருக்கும் அம்மா உணவகங்களைக் கூட மூட வேண்டிய நிலை ஏற்படும். அப்படி ஒரு நிலை ஏற்பட்டால் தமிழ்நாட்டில் மிக மோசமான சமூக, பொருளாதார விளைவுகள் ஏற்படக்கூடும். அதைத் தடுக்க வேண்டியது  தமிழக அரசின் கடமை ஆகும்.

பெட்ரோலியப் பொருள்களின் உற்பத்தி, வினியோகம் ஆகியவை மத்தியப் பட்டியலில் 53-ஆம் இடத்தில் இருப்பதால், அதில் மாநில அரசு அதன் அதிகாரத்தை பயன்படுத்த முடியாது. ஆனால், அதன்  விளைவாக தமிழ்நாட்டில் ஏற்படக்கூடிய விளைவுகளைத் தடுக்க வேண்டிய கடமை மாநில அரசுக்கு தான் உள்ளது. அந்த வகையில் நிலைமையை சமாளிக்கத் தேவையான நடவடிக்கைகளை மேற்கொள்ள வேண்டிய பொறுப்பு திமுக அரசுக்கு உள்ளது. இதற்காக திமுக அரசு என்ன திட்டம் வைத்துள்ளது என்பதை முதலமைச்சர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் விளக்க வேண்டும்.

வணிக சமையல் எரிவாயு உருளைகள் வினியோகம் நிறுத்தப்படுவதால் ஏற்படக்கூடிய விளைவுகள் நாம் நினைத்துப் பார்ப்பதை விட மிக மோசமாக இருக்கும். எனவே,  நாடகங்களை நடத்துவது, விளம்பரப் படங்களில் நடிப்பது போன்றவற்றை ஒதுக்கி வைத்து விட்டு, தில்லி சென்று மத்திய அரசுடன் நேரடியாக பேச்சு நடத்தி தமிழ்நாட்டுக்கு வணிக எரிவாயு உருளைகளை பெறுவது, தனியார் நிறுவனங்கள் மூலம்  எரிவாயு உருளைகளை பெறுவதற்கான வாய்ப்புகளை ஆராய்வது உள்ளிட்ட நடவடிக்கைகளை முதலமைச்சர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் மேற்கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்று வலியுறுத்துகிறேன்.

இன்னொருபுறம்  திமுக  ஆட்சிக்கு வந்தால் வீட்டுப் பயன்பாட்டுக்கான சமையல் எரிவாயு உருளைகளுக்கு  ரூ.100 மானியம் வழங்கப்படும் என்று 2021-ஆம் ஆண்டு சட்டப்பேரவைத் தேர்தலின் போது  வாக்குறுதி அளித்திருந்த திமுக, ஆட்சிக்கு வந்து ஐந்தாண்டுகள் நிறைவடையவுள்ள நிலையில் இன்னும் அந்த வாக்குறுதியை நிறைவேற்றவில்லை. வீட்டுப்பயன்பாட்டுக்கான சமையல் எரிவாயு விலை உயர்ந்துள்ள நிலையில் தேர்தல் வாக்குறுதியை நிறைவேற்றும் வகையில் சமையல் எரிவாயு உருளைகளுக்கு  தமிழக அரசு ரூ.100 மானியம் வழங்க வேண்டும். @CMOTamilnadu
