@zdzichudyrma@umpire_chair Didn't think there would be a queue today. As yesterday was a walk in apparently..but finals weekend tends to get like this.
@hayleyfeehan@ViewFromTheQ I'd say early as I arrived late last year on Sunday around 1pm and queue closed as grounds had reached capacity they said. I thankfully did mamage to luckily get in later, but yeah harder now and they've not reduced grounds pass fee for last weekend. ยฃ20. Used to be ยฃ8!!
@umpire_chair Yes agree. Esp if your having to travel by tube from London.
Too much.
I never did that morden p&r when mum was alive.
P.s would you know if ground passes today if arrival after 1pm today would be easy enough and how much they are. I'm thinking ยฃ15? Do they drop for final days?
@Scandinav_ish@ViewFromTheQ I hadn't realised about earlier in the fortnight to check for lower courts, as at least that way, you get into grounds if tickets not too expensive..just saves queuing.
Thanks
@OC Oh I know that feeling oh too well. I have cleared a loved ones fridge and it's heartbreaking.
You've captured the essence of that grief so well on your words.
@umpire_chair When I used to take my mum, I'd only ever go if we had tickets. Achievable in wheelchair ballot.
Otherwise too long a walk. We did once get a taxi to queue area when we'd heard no queue that afternoon.
I'd opt for black cab share from Wimbledon Station as ยฃ2.50 each person
@umpire_chair@haraldcg Yes I recall last year on men's final day. I arrived at 1pm and queue had been closed and no more ground tickets until final was over. Thankfully I was lucky to get in by someone who had an unused ticket they transferred via app to me at gate 14..lucked out.
@Scandinav_ish@ViewFromTheQ Have there been tickets to purchase via this page, over the fortnight? Or just for next 3 days? If so we're tickets only for Cc & No.1?
Curious
Thanks
@hoyas@ViewFromTheQ@umpire_chair That's good. Hoping will be similar for Friday.
Ground pass cost drops too
I'd just try get on court 1 or 2 now for the evening, you'd easily get on.
@Wimbledon@AmexUK I've so many, as grew up with my Dad getting us into the grounds so easily back in the 80's. We'd ask people for their tickets and watched many a match on centre. My dad even blagged his way into the Royal Box!
I met McEnroe & Becker briefly too in the ground. Such exciting days
@roshnip77@ViewFromTheQ@Kerrance222 Where do you find the virtual queue on the my Wimbledon app? I can't find any link on there and yes I did apply for this year's ballot
Many thanks
