I get the thrust of the report: to move toward plant-based foods. But without a strong social justice lens, such global directives too often get used to colonize & industrialize diets & undermine traditional diets & food gathering practices, especially those that rely on hunting.

A reminder that this is land Wet’suwet’en have not agreed to share via treaty. And Canada, nor B.C., have ever proven their title in law. This is naked aggression and should be remembered when this country preaches the rule of law.

All love and all respect and all my prayers for #Wetsuweten friends and land defenders on the frontlines.

Canada, this is terrorism, not reconciliation. Canada, this is not your jurisdiction. Canada, your pipelines aren't more important than people's homes. #wetsuwetenstrong

Negative + inaccurate media portrayals of migrants can intensify xenophobia. "Illegal' is totalizing and writes off people's humanity; if a cyclist does a rolling stop at a sign, they aren't described as an 'illegal cyclist.' https://t.co/XfDiQkBpUp via @vmochama #NoOneisIllegal
