@stargeyama Sure there will be, but what %? I have been in more fandoms than I can count and I’ve never encountered that. So 20k+ people punishing all writers for the actions of 0.0001% just does not sit right with me
why "write for yourself" doesn't work here: the stories are perfectly fine living in my head. i have hundreds of them, i'm never bored. but if i'm spending hours writing and editing so it's viewed correctly in /your/ head, then it's not for me alone now, is it?
i'll never understand why some people treat writers like money-hungry influencers
god forbid someone wanted some form of acknowledgment for the hours they've spent working on something. people forget writing is a lonely hobby, and if you receive silence, it's just not worth it
am I being too harsh or "without the author gaining any site engagment" is absolutely stupid? ao3 is an archive, not a social media or a fic site. you shouldnt care about "gaining" anything.
writers see readers like they work -> writers happy -> writers write more
it's nothing more than this. why do you view writers as evil for that first step?
guys if it was AI the face expressions of each clone would be different or off whereas their expressions are the exact same which, to me, clearly points to CGI face swap/track
it's probably my analytical mind coming in to play but the amount of fluff on craft books is so tiring. i want the hard theory, i don't have time to read 80% fluff and anecdotes
