…. Go back and approve it Disney. Look at the popularity of dark fantasy on booktok. Get your head in the game!! Bring back gargoyles for a new generation to fall in love with!! 😭🙏
Ciro Nieli ("Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!", Nickelodeon TMNT 2012) shared concept art of a proposed "GARGOYLES" reboot that he pitched in 2020.
Sadly it got passed due the COVID-19 cuts at Disney TVA alongside an original show idea he had "Weirdo Pizza".

@GargoyleGlimmer@DynamiteComics@Greg_Weisman Not every reboot needs to be a carbon copy of the original. It will be a gargoyles for a new age. Things can pay homage and still be wonderful.
@GargoyleGlimmer@DynamiteComics@Greg_Weisman Alternatively… both? I am an avid comic collector personally but there’s nothing wrong with a reboot if it’s placed into loving hands. Look at the new ducktales or she-ra
I tried to draw a bear... but I wasnt sure I had all the koala-fications =3= 🩷🐻
My fiancee showed me the model and I couldnt help myself! Theyre so cute!
We live in the absolute goofiest timeline where Glitch, an independent animation studio, is about to make millions at the box office, while Paramount - an 100year old studio yanked a sure fire financial hit from theaters only to have it leak on twitter 6months before release.
@YeyeY41195@KHStar99 I knew what I wanted to do with Muir and Rowan for a while, Mimics don't have "children" but that doesnt mean people cant make or enjoy their own head cannons and OCs! When I was a teen one of my first OCs was a demon who was Sesshomaru's wife, def not canon but it was fun! 💙
I was there for Homestuck. I was there in the Tumblr days of Seven Universe and Gravity Falls. I was there for the formative years of online fandoms all across the internet.
The TADC fandom is one of the most unruly, childish fandoms I've ever had the displeasure of interacting with. Instead of being happy that a small indie studio get's a chance at a theatrical release, y'all want to boycott it because you want it to "stay niche" and don't want the medium to mature and grow, and push bigger studios like Disney and Pixar out of the spotlight for once.
Despite what it might seem like on the internet, Glitch is small peanuts compared to those giants. The rest of the world outside of the internet bubble has NO IDEA what TADC even is, so these theatres need to be convinced that showing it will be worth it for them.
On top of that, despite GLITCH being an Australian company; TADC is an American production. Of COURSE they're going to focus on where the show originated and where it's most popular for their initial theatrical release; but if you want to see it closer to you, YOU NEED TO REACH OUT AND ASK FOR IT.
GLITCH can't do it all, THEY'RE INDIE. IT'S US. WE'RE THE DISTRIBUTORS. It's just like Iron Lung all over again, but GLITCH is getting shit on instead of supported like Iron Lung was.
I grew up in a time where I had to dodge spoilers for limited releases, and I managed to do it. Avoiding spoilers is surprisingly easy, you're just too entitled.
We should absolutely be supporting an indie studio when they make moves like this. It's unheard of for something like this to be happening, and these projects are backed by real people with real passions. GLITCH doesn't make their money from YouTube views, they make it on merch and MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, they'll make a LITTLE revenue from these movie releases, but we have to support them if we want to see more projects like Iron Lung and TADC moving into the big screens.
The Amazing Digital Circus fandom is one of the most well served fandoms that I have ever seen. Free global youtube releases for every episode is something most fandoms could only ever dream of.
I really hope you start to show some more appreciation for the creatives who put their blood, sweat, and tears into making your show. Frankly, I'm embarrassed at the entitlement I've witnessed. I understand it is likely that many of you are young and have never had to experience the inconvenience of partial releases. I once had to wait a full year to watch a movie for my favourite franchise and had to dodge spoilers the entire time. Could the animation studio have just released it on YouTube for free? Yes. But that would have led to an intense loss in revenue. The fact that indie animation studios like Glitch have been able to make that happen for you is a miracle. It's something you should celebrate. Not use against them the second they want to, just once for the finale of their show, do an early release in theaters, which is a historic achievement for indie studios, by the way.
They had every right to want to monetize and reward themselves. And yet, they STILL pushed and pushed to get you the free release as early as possible, in spite of the protestations of the cinema corporations that have every right to want it to be exclusive for longer.
That is a studio that truly loves its global fandom. I wish more of you realized that.
Everyone loves preaching about mental health on the timeline, but the brutal truth is nobody actually wants to be around a depressed person. The second your struggle becomes an inconvenience, the distancing begins.
Society loves the aesthetic of support and the hashtags, but they despise the reality. Real depression isn't a cute movie scene; it's zero energy and canceled plans.
The moment you stop being fun, you are suddenly labeled as "negative," a "burden," or "too heavy to handle." They want you healed, but refuse to sit in the dark with you while you hurt.
People will literally watch you drown and then complain that your splashing is ruining their vibe. You learn very quickly who actually loves you, and who just loved the entertaining version of you.
The silence you get from your "friends" when you hit rock bottom is the loudest reality check of adulthood.
