@tragic_endings_ Their view of women, they see these spaces as open grounds to look for romantic partners. Not an inherently negative thing per se but I can definitely see where the grievance would come from people who want to be in these hobby spaces without having to worry about such things

@tragic_endings_ I think a lot of it comes down to people not necessarily appreciating being approached in hobby spaces with the sole intention of a romantic relationship being formed. It’s not exclusively a straight male thing to do but because of the way in which patriarchal society informs 1/x

@finests0litude I think it really just comes down to preference at the end of the day, but I would like to see strive embrace some of the earlier heavy metal of its roots or maybe even a mix of styles to add variety to the cast

@finests0litude However, strive is certainly still metal at its core. I’d say it’s now something more like nu-metal with a drop of heavy metal mixed in making for a more mellowed out final aesthetic. I think strive is still aesthetically very pleasing but old GG games have an edge that I prefer

@RETSNOM_01 The type of evil Shinji is also is just much more real and sinister than Gilgamesh and Kirei which I think makes him get under people’s skin easier. In heavens feel as well there’s just some very upsetting imagery and moments involving him

@RETSNOM_01 I think it’s easier to hate shinji because his negative traits have a much more direct negative effect on the cast. Like sure Gilgamesh is the world’s biggest asshole but his teeth never really actually bite and in UBW he comes off much more principled

@Cranberryscause I mean yeah I think that’s why Eva brings in so many people who don’t fw Mecha cause it has a vibe and a cast that most people fuck with more than the typical vibe you can find with a lot of mecha. Not to say that other mecha is worse though I personally like most mecha myself
