The executives said the boardroom Wi-Fi “feels slow.”
Speed test: 487 Mbps.
Apparently 487 Mbps has bad energy.
So I created a new network:
EXECUTIVE_PRIORITY_5G
Same access points.
Same internet connection.
Same VLAN.
I just gave it a more expensive name.
Connected the CEO.
He opened a website and immediately said:
“Oh wow, this is way faster.”
By lunch, five VPs had asked for access.
I told them executive bandwidth is limited and I can only approve users with a genuine business requirement.
They are now competing for access to Wi-Fi they already had.
Performance is unchanged.
Satisfaction is through the roof.
Things that just make sense once you turn 30:
1. Steely Dan
2. Sparkling Water
3. A dislike of too many teenagers in a public area
4. Birkenstocks
5. National parks
6. A good stretch
7. Analog and physical media
"Xenu was an alien dictator from 75 million years ago who transported billions of beings to Earth, placed them around volcanoes, and killed them with hydrogen bombs. Anyway, I think you & Travis would be great members."
Mexico’s fight for independence is the triumph of a people determined to shape their own future.
Today, I was proud to be the first New York City Mayor to march in Sunset Park’s Mexican Independence Day Parade alongside a community that has fostered cultural pride across generations.
Mexican New Yorkers are at the heart of our city and its fight for a better future.
If you'e never read The Falling Man, you should do so. I post this on September 11th every year, and I find time to read it on this day every year. Still, in my eyes, the greatest piece of journalism I have ever read. https://t.co/gZgwzRoSgX
