1/ short-term trader habit: before I care about a model, I ask what it can actually touch. most agent demos can touch a chat box and a browser tab. that's it.
2/ Sai API from @sai_borg changes the answer. your coding agent adds it with one MCP command (the terminal in pic 1) and gets a real Windows cloud computer plus an agent that operates it.
3/ that matters for anyone running trading ops, because half the venues, reporting portals and back-office tools we deal with have no API. today that means brittle scripts or a person clicking.
4/ the safety bits are what would make it usable for anything money-adjacent: a live view of the machine while it runs, and a pause for approval before risky commands.
5/ one machine per agent, so a few watchers can run in parallel instead of queueing through one session.
6/ works with Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. no PnL claims from me, obviously.
Exactly a year ago I announced the plan to build 42 at @token2049. We had nothing except for a mathematical framework. No demo, no funding. Just a bold idea.
Wild how much progress a small team made in just a year. Grateful for every user who supported us throughout this journey. Tmrw, I’m excited to share what we’ve achieved so far, and the next chapter for 42.
Bigger stage. Bigger announcement.
Fed hikes 25bp to 3.75-4.00%. First since 2023.
Dow -1.21%. S&P -0.45%. Nasdaq flat. 10-yr back above 5%.
@KobeissiLetter, 7 hike cycles since 1988: S&P 500 up 12 months later every time except 2022. Avg +9%.
Real U.S. stocks, fractional from $1, on Altus.
That shift changed what I want from a setup too. I used to obsess over the desk, the monitor, the chair, the whole little command center. These days I care way more about whether I can start playing quickly and whether I have to take over the main TV to do it.
