@SaysSimulation Men are interested in things, women are interested in people. In the Bible, when Adam opened his eyes, he saw the physical world. When Eve opened her eyes, she saw Adam. So this goes way back to the beginning. We need both perspectives, in balance.
@FindURForte@drjoshcsimmons@beyondwaiting "The research & views have shifted quite a bit since then." - The kids don't seem to be turning out better. Just saying.
@drjoshcsimmons@beyondwaiting In that crowd are 3 college graduates, one electrician, one HS honors student, and two younger ones still cooking. Overall in my 11 children I have 6 college graduates, 5 marriages, 3 grandchildren (so far), and zero substance abusers. But hey, you’re the “Dr”.
@ZeldaTetraSheik@beyondwaiting I’m sorry that you had a negative experience, and I don’t doubt that experience. But the child may not always be in my home, and once there are multiple toddlers, all bets are off. A child not being dead is better.
@Gingie_Em@beyondwaiting Because he then connects doing a certain activity to a swift and certain consequence, before he has the cognitive ability to understand that activity can kill him. And he’s doing those things because he’s a toddler. That’s what they do.
@MBurtwrites@beyondwaiting It teaches them not to do the thing that can kill them, before they understand how it can kill them. That’s enough for that stage in life.
