Access to mental health must be respected as a human right.

My thoughts are with all those who lost loved ones, and those displaced by recent floods in Easter Libya.
Our teams are on site and have already mobilized emergency relief assistance to support those affected -including migrants and displaced people.

#AmazonGMV
Today, I'm honoured to be joining @amazon’s Global Month of Volunteering in Munich, Germany, working together to pack relief kits for those in need and building a stronger foundation for change.

It is crucial to identify solutions and pathways, and to outline the corresponding state responsibilities.
States, as duty bearers, hold the primary responsibility to respect, protect, and fulfill the rights of all individuals within their jurisdiction or effective control.
The drivers of migration and displacement are complex.
Triggers such as conflict, violence and human rights violations force people to leave their homes, seeking safety elsewhere.
There are also socio-economic, political and environmental factors that impact human mobility.
Today I urged States in the Security Council Arria-Formula meeting to enhance regular pathways for admission and stay, including in the form of humanitarian visas, temporary protection permits, education opportunities, temporary work permits, and family reunification.
