Let's get the timeline clear here:
1. Career Colleges Ontario warns the Ford government about suspicious OSAP activity in January 2023. Ford lets private career colleges abuse the system for years.
2. Earlier this summer, we learn that just seven private career colleges received $385M in grants, the same amount as all public colleges in Ontario combined.
3. Instead of holding bad actors accountable, Ford punishes all students who rely on OSAP.
Young people are already struggling to get by in an economy stacked against them. Doug Ford needs to reverse these OSAP cuts, take accountability for his own mismanagement, and hold the bad actors responsible instead of punishing all students.
Pierre Poilievre: "Ten years ago, there were no referendums in any part of the country to separate. There was no separatist movement in Alberta whatsoever. The measure of the PM is how he can keep our country united. And as a future PM, my mission will be to truly unite the country."
95% of the $465M increase in OSAP grants went to students at private career colleges, while the government @fordnation had been warned about suspicious activity. Now grants are being cut for students at public colleges and universities too. The Auditor General should investigate.
Doug Ford has to be forced into this. His government let OSAP run wild with private career colleges and then destroyed it for all of the other universities and colleges that weren’t abusing the system.
These provincial governments are starving public services and funnelling public money to private companies. And some of you think that’s a benefit for you lol. They’re scamming us
BREAKING: The Ford government is pausing all OSAP payments to private post-secondary institutions after an independent third-party audit raised what the government calls “serious concerns” about the integrity of OSAP applications in the sector.

like you dont need to lie about this to make some weird argument about how canada has frat sexual assault under control or its not as bad here as it is in the US when it is
frats need to be banned outright, but they still exist all over canada. my uni cut them off from the student council bc of sexual assaults but they still exist
The University of Toronto cut ties with frats in the 1960s because they failed to admit a Black student. Queens University bans them outright. Frats are a nearly non-existent part of campus life across Canada and hopefully will stay that way.
"our whole community holds this political belief" does not make a political belief a protected characteristic. This is true for zionism, hindutva, etc etc. If all your institutions pay homage to a fascist ideology that's a "your institutions problem"
@eddienzee@JoseSalvadorIII@LinettePaille buddy you have been obsessively posting about a rape victim for days to defend the perpetrators, you can’t be calling other people weirdos. get medicated
And yet, somehow her victim has not come back from the dead, the victim's family's trauma is not healed, the country is no safer. It's kinda like the death penalty doesn't accomplish anything good.
