Eight years ago, when I left the DA, I said that the DA was working in the interests of its donors and not the people. At the time, people called me an angry ex-member of the DA. Now a current leader of the DA is saying the same thing I said eight years ago.
In my book, The Accidental Mayor, I exposed how Tony Leon's PR Firm - Resolve Communications, improperly tried to facilitate a R300m tender in 2019 for one of its clientsfrom Mashaba as Mayor of Joburg.
Mashaba kicked him out and, from that moment, the DA turned on Mashaba.
You know what: we can criticise later, back at home amongst ourselves.
Okwamanje sithi, Well done Bafana!
You reached a new milestone. We are proud of you.
Tony Leon has always been corrupt! but the media covers for him.
The media purposefully ignores wrongdoing by certain figures, creating a distorted double standard where corruption is only given a black face.
Hold on,
What is the difference between what John is admitting to here and the corruption that the DA is often mouthing about?
Maybe I am unintelligent, but this sounds to me like exactly what the DA often chastises the ANC for, using state power to drive their own interests.
Said differently, this sounds like “it's not about corruption. It's about who gets to be corrupt and who gets to be the corruptor.”
Dr Mathe
I wholeheartedly accept your decision not to engage me. It is your right. Hopefully you will accept and respect @JacintaNgobese's right to choose not to engage you. But it appears that her decision has caused a serious chest pains on you.
Thanks for engaging my post.
Thabo Mbeki & his wife are the projects of the Oppenheimers, both were in London being sponsored by the Oppenheimer during apartheid, Zanele Mbeki worked with apartheid Vlakplass boss and Thabo publicly defended the murderer who’s still on trial for apartheid crimes today‼️
For once, a blunt moment of truth from John Steenhuisen. By explicitly calling out the "AfriMaga" right wing faction as tribalists, nationalists, and outright racists who don’t believe Black people can govern, he is stating exactly what millions have been saying for years.
Appeasing a regressive, conservative base that rejects the core principles of a democratic, non racial South Africa is a dead end. You cannot build an inclusive political future by bending the knee to factions that harbor deep seated racial biases.
Steenhuisen’s admission draws a necessary line. Trying to dance to the tune of right wing racists completely destroys any pretense of broad based credibility. It’s an uncomfortable acknowledgment of the deep political and racial fault lines still being coddled for votes by the @Our_DA
Tony Leon (a Zionist scum) through his communications company has been lobbying for Starlink and pressuring Solly Malatsi to fast track policy changes.
There are people who are actively working to undermine our national security.
Dear Mr @TonyLeonSA,
@jsteenhuisen is the second prominent figure, after former Johannesburg Mayor @HermanMashaba, to accuse you of corruption and the manipulation of processes.
Sir, I call on you to take the country into confidence and address these serious allegations regarding your corrupt activities and your alleged abuse of position to manipulate government decisions in favour of your business partners.
The same movie repeating itself. Even with written evidence, DA supporters and members rejected my claims. Let see whether they will reject @jsteenhuisen’s version. @ME_Beaumont
There is State Capture in the DA.
Tony Leon fully in the mix of it.
Solly Malatsi is dancing to the StarLink mob!
The sooner the Ramaphosa wrestles with this beast and stop it, the better for South Africans.
@KhuselaS, pay a close eye to this. It is now formal and made public that Starlink is behind changes advanced by Solly in the ICT sector.
😳😳 Steenhuisen says Resolve Communications, chaired by former DA leader Tony Leon and led by former DA CEO Paul Boughey, ran a campaign against him on FMD and introd clients to him and DA ministers to discuss policy, notably Starlink. Echoes Bell Pottinger and Bain-era issues.
