#NSHC2026 at @kyambogou. This message stood out for me: “Policies are made, but operationalization, follow-up, and student participation remain the biggest challenges.”The conversation should no longer be about what should be done, but rather action based.
Well in @Makerere.
First pitch, first milestone. Honored to present our first collaboration project at the Innovets handover @ college of veterinary medicine and Bio-security as @fehsu256 Projects Minister; a beautiful start to bigger impact ahead. 🚀
Right of way isn’t about speed, it’s about responsibility.
Through the #365RoadSafety Campaign, @NcoshaU & @DrivingPrestige, we’re encouraging drivers to respect give-way rules and prioritize safety at intersections and merging points.
Yield when it matters. Save a life.
A proud moment for the MUEHSA family 👏🏽
Our former Vice Chairperson (2024/25), Bridget Ahumuza @breeeex77, featured in the Daily Monitor with a powerful article titled “Stop Misusing Malaria Medicine.” Her voice adds to the national conversation on drug resistance and responsible health practices, issues at the core of Environmental Health.
This is a true reflection of the impact MUEHSA leaders continue to make beyond the classroom, shaping policy, influencing behavior and protecting communities.
Congratulations Bridget for flying the MUEHSA flag high and reminding us all of our role in safeguarding public health.

Substance use is destroying many lives across Africa. ⚠️urgent action is needed.
Grateful to have attended the INEBRIA/ICUDDR Thematic Meeting 2026, where I gained valuable insights on substance use and the implementation of SBIRT in Africa 🌍, a powerful step toward prevention.
The 21st MUEHSA conference 2026 featured a very powerful keynote address on “Advancing Environmental Health through Equitable Collaboration: Reflections from the Nottingham Trent University – Makerere University Partnership” delivered by @DavidMusoke14 and Prof. @Linda4Gibson
Drawing from this impactful partnership, the keynote highlighted how equitable collaboration across institutions and borders can drive meaningful progress in environmental health, rooted in shared learning, mutual respect, and the co-creation of solutions.
Their reflections continue to remind us that strong partnerships go beyond knowledge exchange, they foster innovation, build capacity, and create lasting change in communities.
