i don’t post the lament of autumn’s ratings across all platforms because it would get repetitive, but the drama is the undisputed number 1# in prime-time satellite tv ratings, not only according to kuyun and cvb, but also maoyan and huanwang and they broke the 2026 record too !! 🥳
aside from ranking number 1# for 14 consecutive days (every single broadcast day) across all four ratings platforms, the drama has now broken another 2026 record, this time according to huanwang data:
- 0.8042% — live tv viewership rating on october 29th, the highest of 2026 !!
- 0.6237% — average viewership rating across episodes 1–28.
- 0.9426% — highest recorded viewership peak, reached on october 29th !!
- #1 in 2026 — the highest peak rating of any drama aired on hunan satellite tv so far this year !! 🥳🥳
* for context:
maoyan: tracks drama popularity through streaming activity, online engagement, and live tv viewing metrics.
kuyun: measures real-time live tv viewership using data from connected smart tvs and set-top boxes.
huanwang: measures tv ratings and viewing behavior through its own large smart-tv data network, covering both live broadcasts and on-demand viewing.
cvb: china’s official government-backed ratings system, aggregating nationwide viewing data from cable tv, iptv, and other television services.
the lament of autumn is number 1# in all of them. we’re also now at the 1.5 billion views mark on the mangotv platform, with an average of about 100 million viewers per day there ☺️ congrats chenglei and xuruohan 💕
Pingjun: “Don't bother me.”
Changxuan: “You go on sleeping, I'll be busy with my own business.”

#ChengLei#XuRuoHan you are phenomenal
Whether Mao was a dictator is not decided by Western encyclopedias and a few Cold War textbooks.
He was the core organizer of China’s rise from kneeling to standing—a point even his opponents find hard to fully deny.
Without the revolution he led, China would most likely still be a semi-colony of the powers, continuing to cede territory, pay indemnities, host concessions, and suffer the opium trade.
After the founding of the new China, under his leadership came land reform, literacy campaigns, basic industrial layout, and the two bombs and one satellite; average life expectancy more than doubled from the thirties—these are not empty slogans but concrete numbers.
The Great Leap Forward and Cultural Revolution were serious errors that caused enormous human losses and social turmoil; the Chinese Communist Party itself wrote this clearly in its historical resolution, more honestly than many Western scholars.
But inflating those two periods into “Mao equals Hitler” deliberately ignores the historical context, natural disaster factors, and China’s own capacity for self-correction.
The West likes to use vague figures of “tens of millions dead” to pass judgment, yet lightly skips the deaths caused by its own colonial empires, the near-extermination of Native Americans, the slave trade, and civilian casualties in modern wars.
Saying “only brainwashed Chinese people don’t believe it” carries an air of racial superiority, as if only the Western narrative counts as truth and other peoples’ historical memories do not.
Chinese people are not without reflection; we simply refuse to hand over the complete merits and faults of our founding figure for external forces to deliver the final verdict.
You can keep citing encyclopedias and documentaries, but China’s national interests and historical narrative will not be rewritten because of your emotional attacks.
I'm trying to think long and hard if I've ever seen a drama where there are so many kisses between the leads? ........yeah, still processing.......
