"Norm busting" and "dirty pool."
Andrew Coyne slams @Dave_Eby's snap election call against the BC Conservatives saying it's "unprecedented in Canadian history."
@HarmanBhanguBC This isn’t democracy.
Lorne Doerkson was not elected by BC Conservative members, so how can he become Premier? Isn’t this only an interim role until members actually get to vote?
@bruce_mcgonigal@LDoerkson Because apparently our vote doesn't count or matter to the BC Conservative party - in my opinion, they wanted who they wanted no matter what the cost.
@KerryLynneFindl@scoopercooper For the first time in my life, there was a glimmer of hope for B.C.
That glimmer of Hope ended today
Absolutely disgusted with the individuals that caused this to happen
The conservative members voices Got extinguished today
We all got betrayed, not just Kerry lynne
Thrilled to be back in the pages of @WDiminishment on why “Free Enterprise & Nothing Else” won’t fix BC.
I’ve stayed out of political discourse lately, but the idea of a new BC “free enterprise” party focused exclusively on economic/fiscal/pocketbook issues compelled me to weigh in.
We can’t keep pretending that BC’s problems can be entirely defined in dollars & cents and entirely solved with tax cuts, deregulation & balanced budgets (as important as these are).
We can’t keep ignoring the left’s steady, patient work to fundamentally re-shape our schools, our public service, our courts and our society.
What many don’t realize is that every economic/fiscal/pocketbook issue is underpinned & legitimized by a cultural mindset being unapologetically pushed into every aspect of governance, every single day that the NDP are in office.
They’re playing the long game. It’s time for us to get on the field.

THE NDP AND LIBERALS ARE DEATHLY AFRAID OF KERRY-LYNNE FINDLAY.
She is standing in their way of surrendering B.C. and is the only leader who can:
Defeat David Eby
Reverse the massive land transfers
Turn B.C. Blue….
The old establishment is up to its dirty tricks again and wants to destroy the grassroots movement.
Kerry-Lynne Findlay was the first democratically elected leader of the B.C. Conservatives chosen by party members.
Those members rejected the old B.C. Liberal/B.C. United.
They rejected insider politics.
They rejected the watered-down, NDP-adjacent brand that British Columbians had already turned away from.
That old establishment wants its party back.
The members said NO.
And that is why this fight matters.
Because if Findlay succeeds, the entire political map in British Columbia changes.
The NDP knows it.
The Liberals know it.
And the old backroom establishment knows it too.
They are not afraid she will fail.
They are afraid she will win.
‼️ EXCLUSIVE: I’ve received a voicemail that was left by Marylin Gladu to a former member of her team.
Some of the things she says are shocking.
Including that the “[Liberals] could use her talents”
“with all of the stupid things they’re doing over there”
and that by giving Carney his majority, Pierre won’t lose his leadership and this is
“actually good for everybody.”
We don’t have to accept the NDP's vision of decline as our future. Our province was built on agriculture, forestry, mining and fishing. The NDP calls these “sunset industries.” With the right leadership, they can be the foundation of our comeback.
Abandoning people to die on the streets is not compassion.
Giving out deadly drugs is not compassion.
And letting drug kingpins loose to profit off death is not compassion.
Offering recovery, a home, and a drug-free life is compassion.
