African Women face various forms of violence daily. From forced marriages, marital rape, sexual harassment, FGM, trafficking etc, it's a pandemic that has plagued us for decades.
Report abuse when you witness it
hold your government accountable when it comes to laws that protect women and girls by joining protests that call for change
Donate to organisations which support victims of GBV
Call out jokes that are violent and misogynistic in nature
‘’The thing about period pain though is that you never get used to it.’’

Today marks the start of 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence. It is also the international Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. At FemInStyle Africa, we are committed to ensuring that African Women’s safety isn’t treated as a special interest topic but
which we can do our bit to eliminate violence against women.
During these 16 Days of Activism, let us all come together to push the core themes for this year; Orange the world: End Violence Against Women Now!
