In view of today's news, we quote #ZaraAleena's aunt Farah Naz: “How do we continue to believe in a society that breeds such violence towards women, how do we continue to have faith in systems that failed to protect her, to live in a community that didn’t respond to her screams?”

Husband shows wife deeds to house, tells her that he loves her & given her the house. Years of abuse & now in court, turns out the deed was a fake, now he’s demanding she leave & she has nowhere to go. Domestic servitude/physical & emotional abuse/financial control, threat 2 life
"Young people taking part in the survey comprehend the abusive nature of obvious & deliberate coercive & controlling behaviours described.
But they do not recognise the terminology related to this."

@DAAllianceUK@AssocPCCs@ukhomeoffice@Dines4Dales@DriveProjectUK Also time for a serial DV/abuser register to be implemented…those who don’t or won’t change can’t be left to continue their behaviour…plus it’ll take more than £18m a year to tackle it all and leave’s it to post code lotteries for funding distribution via PCC’s
How cld police not know abt Carrick’s behaviour?
2001 - he passed Met vetting despite having been a suspect for offences against a woman on 2 occasions
2002 - investigated for assaulting an ex partner
2009 - Herts police & Met aware of a domestic abuse complaint against

"Given the numbers of women who suffer from domestic violence, the number of children growing up in a violent household is catastrophic. These children suffer quietly, desperately." Such an important story from @bindelj@UnHerd https://t.co/RnAJyovuTP
David Carrick's nickname at the Metropolitan Police was "bastard Dave". Top brass confirmed the nickname but insisted it was not because of sex behaviour + that colleagues were unaware he was a predator. It was because, they say, he was known to be "mean and cruel"
Every time a woman & her children are killed by a serial abuser, the Police say ‘We are sorry. We will learn the lessons.’ Every time a serial abuser is identified like #DavidCarrick or #WayneCouzens they say ‘We are sorry. We will learn the lessons.’ But yet they NEVER do
A perpetrator of abuse will do anything to silence a victim. Acting coercively they will utilise other people, or agencies to help them do it.
When they get into family court they find the system is ideal, because the family court routinely silences and minimises abuse.
3 years ago my statement at the Press Conference exposing publicly the neglect of @gmpolice when they knowingly allowed over 100abusers to escape prosecution. Has anything really changed since though…..or is it actually worse?

The crimes that #MetPolice officer David Carrick has admitted to committing are utterly abhorrent
When a man who has been charged with 49 offences, including 24 charges of rape, is a serving police officer, how can women and girls possibly be – or feel – safe.
'The bill would oblige managers of sites hosting user-generated content, including social media sites, to take "proportionate measures" to stop children seeing harmful material.'
