Three men have been charged in DuPage County, Illinois, for allegedly stealing and vandalizing five Flock automated license plate reader (ALPR) cameras in and around Lisle. The suspects are Anthony Pareigis, 34, and Jacob Steichmann, 32, both of Downers Grove, and Thomas Yano, 31, of Indian Head Park.

Each man faces two counts of theft of government property (Class 2 felony) and two counts of criminal damage to government-supported property (Class 3 felony). Prosecutors stated the charges are non-detainable under Illinois' SAFE-T Act, resulting in their release from custody pending trial.

The Incident: On July 26, 2026, police discovered two cameras stolen within Lisle and three others in unincorporated areas. Officers arrested Pareigis at the scene while he approached another camera with a drill and ladder; Steichmann and Yano were arrested hours later nearby.

Evidence: Police recovered a gray 2012 Subaru containing five Flock cameras, a ladder, gloves, and power tools. Each camera is valued at approximately $2,800.

Next Steps: All three men made their first court appearance on July 27, 2026, and are scheduled to return to court on August 24, 2026.
