@EdCPDChat Share priorities with staff and the expectations around those priorities. Identify starting points for teachers and develop and deliver focused support for individuals and teams to build on those starting points. No different to what we do with our students really.
@lmeducational Ask students, what have they learnt?what are they good /not so good at? How do teachers help them learn more & remember more - great TLA uses starting points, builds on learning in small steps and consistently checks learning via formative assess activities & retrieval practice
@PepsMccrea Get the curriculum design right, have aspirational teachers sequencing lessons to build on learning in small steps, consistently check learning with a range of interactive formative assessment activities and also build in retrieval practice, behaviour often manages itself ๐
@MrsGilbert20@MrTs_NQTs@Toriaclaire Definitely share your expectations and be consistent with expectations. Welcome them into your classroom and take control of your environment immediately. Make the pace if your lesson challenging by setting timescales for all tasks, this will keep them interested and focussed.
@MDevergori@vic_adams_@PaulBoucher_edu Hi Mark, Hope you are ok, we all miss you. I have used a similar thing to sort students into groups, students loved it Jx ๐
