Catholic Bishop Robert Barron has urged Christians to organize and vote against radical socialists and communists, saying their success in recent elections is a real threat.
Before you pontificate on anything else, you owe the Gorman family a public apology.
Your conduct toward a grieving family on June 30th was disgraceful.
At a moment that called for compassion, humility, and respect, you chose politics instead.
You also failed to acknowledge the extra burden Angel Families carry on top of the unimaginable pain of losing a child. They don't just grieve their son or daughter, they must also live with the knowledge that their loved one's death was preventable and was made possible by public policy failures.
That burden lasts a lifetime.
Your refusal to recognize that reality only amplifies your selective compassion, callousness, and contempt for victims whose stories don't fit your preferred narrative.
Until you acknowledge your mistake, apologize to the Gorman family, and extend the same compassion to every grieving family, not just those that serve your politics, you have no standing to lecture the country about empathy or justice.
Compassion that depends on ideology isn't compassion at all.
.@jamie_raskin, this is my Katie.
She should still be alive today.
Explain to me why she had to die while reckless public policies were defended and dismissed.
Explain to me why protecting those policies seemed more important than protecting innocent Americans.
Then explain it to every Angel Family carrying the added burden of knowing their loved one's death could have been prevented.
That is the question you and every elected official who defends these policies should be willing to answer.
What an appalling speech the Mayor of New York delivered for the 250th anniversary of the nation.
Sadly, it reflects the view of America propagated for years by Howard Zinn and his like-minded colleagues in the universities and believed by armies of the young: a dark, oppressive country where common people are denigrated by tyrants and oligarchs, where immigrants are treated with contempt, where those with “soft hands” hold the wealth created by those with dirty hands.
No sensible person would claim that our country is without flaws, but the relentlessly negative picture painted by Mayor Mamdani is just absurd.
And it is the fruit of the Marxism that, sadly, is all the rage today.
@JoeyMannarino she has no idea what is about to be done to her. that poor baby. God help all the children who are subjected to exploitation & abuse.
Katie Abraham was not “collateral damage.”
She was a daughter.
A future.
A human life with infinite value.
My family immigrated legally to this country believing citizenship came with both opportunity and responsibility.
We believed laws mattered.
Accountability mattered.
Public safety mattered.
But too many Democratic "leaders" became so consumed with protecting political narratives rooted in blind ideology that ordinary Americans were expected to quietly absorb the foreseeable consequences.
That is not compassion.
It is selective compassion.
American citizens have been pushed to the bottom of the Democrats' hierarchy of compassion.
And let's be perfectly clear: based on experience, when tragedy strikes, as it did in Katie's case, they will turn their backs on any grieving American family to protect the very policies that failed them.
And good intentions do not erase preventable suffering.
History warns us what happens when ideology outranks truth, accountability, and the protection of innocent people.
Katie deserved better.
So does every American family.

@libsoftiktok@MarylandDJS The intentional destruction of civil society will continue until enough citizens of moral conscience hold activist judges accountable.
@ObviousRises the kid is probably loving having an ankle monitor on. he’s been elevated…not punished. this is what happens when standards are lowered to let people fail upwards. It becomes a threat to our loved ones safety.
13-yo boy rapes two 6 year olds in Maryland, Calvert County, no jail time, released back into the same community with an ankle monitor by Circuit Court Judge Mark W. Carmean. (according to sources)
The boys name is Treven Brooks Jr.
PSA, lets keep the kids safe.
