@my1blood Hi Iโm 100% Pakistani and from Miami. Iโd like to organize a blood drive for Zainab asap at one (or several mosques) in South FL. On Fridays many individuals that are eager to give blood & likely satisfy the donor criteria will already be gathered for Friday prayers. Pls DM. Thx!
@jamespowderly @ImmersionXR @_LucasRizzotto 4/ admittedly this may not be an accessible option for many nonusers who donโt know the gestures or donโt have physical capabilities (voice alternative?) to perform them. Point im trying to get across is that this is a tough but interesting/rewarding design challenge.
@jamespowderly @ImmersionXR @_LucasRizzotto 3/ a thought re the above situation may be that the nonuser performs some sort of hand gesture or handshake of sorts (eg making an โXโ in the air). On the users end the XR app would have already detected that a face is present in that space but no further processing is permitted
@jamespowderly @ImmersionXR @_LucasRizzotto 2/ for example, in a user-nonuser interaction in a private setting, how would a nonuser optout to being recorded or having his/her face โscannedโ (another question about what โdataโ is โscannedโ/stored, eg raw/pseudonymized/ or anonymized data)?
@jamespowderly @ImmersionXR @_LucasRizzotto 1/ I generally agree w many of the points in this thread. XR will likely need new privacy and security trust models (eps between user-user, user-nonuser, assumes n number of users and nonusers) that will need to be defined by blending cultural/behavioral design w the new specs
@saif305@rabovitz@magicleap@AmiraIshoof Literally tho. Youโre gonna have to replace my *spoiler alert* mind egg because it broke thinking about doing a #westworldverse in the #305 for Halloween next year. A pg-13 version for somewhat obvious reasons. Yo @att hmu.
This is both fascinating and nerve wracking. @mfroomkin and @ma_franks you each may be interested in this. Hereโs a few topics of interest to me: 1. Social construction of Micaโs identity; 2. Even as a POC, this shows the potential for #deepfakes in XR; 3. Human-avatar relations
Meet Mica. A human-centered AI with eye-gaze tracking and more to make characteristics more humanlike. An ongoing project by an internal #magicleap team who wanted to push systems and explore digital human representations. #LEAPcon
Great job @sannabh, @timstutts, @jamespowderly and the rest of the @magicleap team on the thoughtful #design and attention to representation and diversity in the MagicLeap avatars and assets. Especially impressed with, and grateful for, the inclusion of Muslim characters/motifs.
