It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Sonny Rollins. The Saxophone Colossus died this afternoon at his home in Woodstock, NY at the age of 95. 1/2 https://t.co/6AGmFrB7x4
The use of archive footage of paratroopers from Bloody Sunday in a Conservative Party video message on British army veterans has been branded 'disgusting'

A moment that speaks 1000 words.
My granda Paddy Butler was WHOLLY INNOCENT.
Justice Schofield said he was" the most maligned” victim by false claims that he was a gunman.
He posed no threat to anyone
He is a hero
This is Justice for our family
I’m astounded that @KemiBadenoch used footage of soldiers in Derry during Bloody Sunday in this video promoting the actions of the British Army.
It’s disgusting, deeply offensive and an insult to the innocent civil rights protestors who soldiers killed that day.
Springhill Inquest findings: The Coroner finds that all 5 of the deceased were shot by soldiers from 1st Kings Regiment, firing from Corry’s yard, in breach of yellow card and that force used by soldiers was unreasonable!
Thinking of the families and friends of those murdered and injured during the Springhill-Westrock Massacre of 9th July 1972 as they await the inquest results. Nearly 54 years of tireless campaigning. Local heroes like their loved ones who went to the aid of their neighbours
Fingers crossed for all the Springhill - Westrock families today.
Special mention of the solidarity of the Ballymurphy families, and to
@OMuirighSols, Tommy Holland, Ciaran and all at Springhill Community House, and the wonderful work they do for survivors and victims families.
The truth will no longer remain in the darkness.
Our loved ones are shining the light brightly to lead the way for the inquest verdict into their deaths tomorrow.
We remember Margaret, David, John, Paddy and Fr Noel.
We carry you always in our hearts.
Our thoughts are with the families of Margaret Gargan, David McCafferty, Patrick Butler, John Dougal & Fr Fitzpatrick as they await tomorrow’s inquest findings. They have campaigned for over five decades with courage & determination despite the many obstacles put in their way
Tomorrow, our search for Truth comes to an end for my granda Paddy Butler.
Regardless of the outcome, we can say we done everything we could as a family.
One thing this inquest process achieved was allowing our family to reclaim his voice back.
Paddy Butler is our hero.
