Certain ‘Lords’ also work for the civil service as advisors on salaries. When they on purpose hold those meetings in the Palace of Westminster they also claim the 300 on top of their salaries....
Court rules that carers on minimum wage won’t be paid for resting while carrying out their jobs.
Meanwhile over at the House of Lords on £300 a day tax-free..
Thanks to @SchoolsWeek for further exposing the appalling basis for the action taken by @GavinWilliamson - infection rates for our borough not included! Also never forget that @GreenwichTories refused to support our efforts to keep #greenwich schools safe

R rate go up by 0.3 in a week following the full reopening of all schools. By next week R rate will be over 1 & we will be at the start of a third wave. Thousands will die all because of the lie that 'schools are safe'
So let me get this straight:
Teachers are essential workers that help keep the economy going, but it's not essential to vaccinate them or pay them a living wage with consistent increases proportional to inflation. 🤔😔
Just heard on LBC that HMRC are going to investigate Coronavirus fraud re. furlough, grants and loans. How about starting with a Track and Trace which didn’t work, and cost us £22,000,000,000?
If you'd followed that 1990s careers computer program you did at school, what would you now be doing (and presumably not be expected to sacrifice your life for)? Id be a taxidermist.
290 deaths tragically reported today. Once more a very considerable number, yet in just over a week our teachers, children and more will be put at unnecessary risk, when 10 million go back on one day. Any loss of life is wrong, but needless deaths are the most unacceptable.Awful !
@Independent Oh? Teachers should go in without protection, while Ofsted inspectors refuse to go anywhere near a school due to the risk it poses to them?
Ofsted & govt ministers should spend a few weeks volunteering as classroom assistants then go home to granny if they're so sure it's all OK
Teachers need to strike on the 8th March. The government have gone against their scientific advisory group SAGE, and Sub group SPI-m to open schools.
If Teachers care about their pupils and families as well as their own wellbeing there is no other way now!!.
Instead of labelling children as ‘falling behind’, why not praise them for the resilience they have shown and thank them for the sacrifices they have made?!
Michael Wilshaw on @BBCNewsnight seemed to be imagining children as footballs or balloons: you just add on education hours per day, per week, per year and their brains will inflate. @MaryBoustedNEU @cyclingkev@NEUnion
My school can’t possibly get through the number of tests with the limited staff they have so have no option to test next Thursday and Friday even though it is pointless.
Expecting teachers to work for free over the summer after a decade of austerity while telling them they have to face a pay freeze next year as well? After a year of abuse?
Jokers.
