@elonmusk If everyone keeps adressing the subject of having kids like if it was by choice and not an instinct, the real cause of the declining birthrates will never be adressed
@Ryker_Crypto Not in DrProfit Premium group but you are telling shit. And paying to speak bad about someone? That stinks as hell. Blocked, you are the scammer.
@matterasmachine True. In fact there are no real reliable IQ measurements of most renowed scientist. And there are even some reliable results that show relatively modest numbers.
@HedgieMarkets Why everybody is talking about the LLM perceived failure on detecting the research paper was fake? That was somewhat expected. But...citations made without reading the source paper? I really don't think that practice just started with LLM availability.
It's refreshing to hear such an honest and unbiased stance. As far as I can tell, purely AI-generated content could never be art (I'm pro-AI, by the way). Because art is the expression of a human psyche. For me, it's not related to the effort or technical proficiency applied in its creation, nor to its beauty or harmony. It's more related to its honesty. It reflects not only the current soul of its creator, but also his evolution, so it changes. The style of, say, Picasso was never a single one; it evolved as an answer to very particular events in his life and in his environment. So, art is like a testament to an artist's life. It would never be replaced or surpassed. And until AI has an identity, a life story, and maybe feelings, it won't be able to create art. And even in that case, it would be their art, the expression and testament of their inner self, their individuality, and the testament of their existence.
@incentivising But what if the recognized pattern is precisely that coherent aggregation of different topics that don't only give you a way to approach the problem, but the solution itself?
The point here is "understand the world". That seems to suggest some kind of reasoning in the way humans do. The thing is, do even humans apply reasoning most of the time when interact with the world around? No, reasoning is slow and inefficient if you must react quickly. Animals don't stop to ponder options. They must react. Maybe they can reason, and some certainly are a subject of recent studies on that matter, mostly social animals. So, true, language may be not enough to understand the world, but your affirmation that there are creatures that understand the world without language is rather misleading. Those creatures can survive and thrive not because they understand the world, but because they are the result of millions of years of evolution that shaped their behaviour.
Its the cognitive style, the vast majority think sequentially. For holistic thinkers LLMs are incredibly helpful. Sequential thinkers outsource part of their process to the AI, that's why they are wary of it. Holistic thinkers resonate and expand their thinking with the AI. If only sequential thinkers were receptive enough to accept their cognitive style is not the only one.
