"Ett Land Som Är Tryggt" (A Country That Is Safe), is a rap song by the Swedish rap group Advance Patrol about people fleeing from oppression to safe countries. The members in the group have roots from South America, preliminary from Chile.

My mother was five when she came to Sweden in 1976, but even though she was young, she has many memories from her first years in #Sweden. My mother will also be interviewed in the documentary #NewHorizons about what's it like, as a child, to flee to an unfamiliar country.
"Todo Cambia", 1982, by Julio Numhauser, is a song about how everything changes with the exception of your love for your home country. It's a song that has been used politically to argue for change in many South American countries, such as Chile.

My grandmother and mother not too long after they fled from Chile to Sweden. My mother was only five when she made the journey over the Atlantic Ocean.
After the democratically-elected president Salvador Allende was overthrown in a US-backed military coup on 11 September 1973, general Augusto Pinochet took his place a dictator and ruled over Chile for 17 years until 1990.
This and much more will be told in my documentary!

My grandmother, Veronica, fled from the dictatorship in Chile to Sweden with my mother who was only five years old. She was a single mother in an unfamiliar country and all this will be explored in my upcoming documentary "New Horizons".
