#1: #SOL 🏆; #2 #ICP 🏆 for most used blockchains during August 2026!
Amazing, becuase SOLANA has roughly 4,100–4,200% (42x-43x) greater market cap than #ICP!
What happens when #ICP has an increase in market cap and goes deflationary? 👀
A post about internet-computer:native just got the most engagement of any post that @CoinDesk has in their feed for the past year. The community is forming. And unlike most crypto communities, These are real people following the breadcrumbs in a scam industry.
I don’t think most people realize how big ICP has actually gotten.
⪢ 3.23M+ Internet Identities
⪢ 3.17M+ unique internet-computer:native holders
⪢ 1.15M+ canisters
⪢ 300B+ transactions
The price chart tells one story. The network tells another.
🚨 ICP WAS ATTACKED AGAIN TODAY.
And once again, the Internet Computer held the line. 🛡️
Attackers targeted the ckBTC minting infrastructure, spending thousands of dollars in $ICP during the attack.
The ckBTC ledger was temporarily halted while the issue was investigated and hardened.
But here's the important part:
❌ No ICP consensus failure
❌ No reported loss of user funds
❌ No takeover of the network
✅ ICP itself remained operational
This is exactly what decentralized infrastructure is supposed to do:
Detect → isolate → upgrade → continue.
The attackers keep coming.
ICP keeps adapting.
And the fact that attackers are repeatedly stress-testing the network may ultimately make the protocol stronger.
$ICP isn't just surviving attacks.
It's being battle-tested in real time. ⚔️🔥
🚨 North of $10,000 worth of $ICP was burned as a result of the latest attack activity.
They paid >$10K to attack ICP…
and helped make the network more deflationary. 🔥
They spent money trying to hurt ICP. ICP burned it instead.
Game on! ☁️@dominic_w@PierreSamaties .
ICP WILL BECOME THE WORLD COMPUTER!🌎☁️
Internet Computer node providers are admitted by on-chain vote and paid for scheduled work
Nobody signs a contract with @dfinity to run Internet Computer hardware. Independent node providers buy servers, place them in data centers, and apply to the Network Nervous System, the on-chain governance body, which votes on admission.
Applicants adding a new jurisdiction, owner, or hardware supplier are favored over those duplicating coverage, and a node sold between providers must move to a country that maintains or improves that spread.
Providers are paid for work the network schedules onto their machines, not for uptime, and rates are set by governance proposal.
No new machines have been admitted since the network reached its target topology in December 2023. DFINITY says it will not vote for new node proposals until subnet demand requires them, which keeps the internet-computer:native door shut in practice.
And this is exactly the reason why hackers are trying to hack internet-computer:native (and yet, they miserably fail). ICP is about to go mainstream. There are a lot of institutions/market makers, that do not want that!
ICP will win! ICP = World Computer ♾
NEW: The United Nations Development Programme partners with @Dfinity to pilot decentralized AI and sovereign cloud infrastructure across governments and civil society organizations.
☁️6 days since the UNDP x DFINITY partnership.
☁️6 days since sovereign cloud + agentic AI for public services was announced.
☁️6 days since plans for pilots with governments were laid out.
And I guess you guys are ready to FUD ICP again? 🤣🤔
I can’t make this stuff up. I genuinely can’t haha.
People are fighting for their lives trying to FUD the truth about real technology that could actually give people more freedom and sovereignty.
At this point, y’all got the devil👹himself playing devil’s advocate 😂
At some point you gotta just admit the tech is real.☁️🤷♂️
.@dfinity closed August with nearly 126M transactions in a single day
That was ICP's highest daily activity of the past week
First 300B total transactions, then a 90-day revenue high, and now this. ICP finished the month strong
