SpaceXAI has released Grok Voice Transcribe 2.0, taking the #1 spot for Final Transcript accuracy and First Partial Transcript accuracy on AA-WER Streaming with 2.7% WER at 0.49s after end of speech
Grok Voice Transcribe 2.0 is @SpaceXAI's new Speech to Text model, succeeding Grok Voice Transcribe 1.0 (previously Grok Speech to Text). It improves streaming Final Transcript WER from 3.9% to 2.7% and non-streaming AA-WER from 4.0% to 2.3%. It is available through the SpaceXAI API for both streaming and non-streaming transcription, at the same price as its predecessor.
Key takeaways
โค Final Transcript: Grok Voice Transcribe 2.0 achieves 2.7% WER at 0.49s after end of speech. It is more accurate but slower than Muse Voice Transcribe at 3.1% and 0.16s, and ElevenLabs Scribe v2 Realtime at 3.6% and 0.14s. It is also more accurate, though slightly slower, than Cartesia Ink-2 (semantic endpoints) at 3.4% and 0.43s
โค First Partial Transcript: The model achieves 3.4% WER at 0.49s, just ahead of Muse Voice Transcribe and ElevenLabs Scribe v2 Realtime on accuracy, both at 3.6%, though slower than both at 0.13s. It is more accurate but slower than Cartesia Ink-2 (semantic endpoints) at 4.9% and 0.17s, and Cartesia Ink-2 (external endpoints) at 4.0% and 0.07s
โค Non-streaming: Grok Voice Transcribe 2.0 scores 2.3% on AA-WER, placing #5 of 59 models. It sits behind Alibaba's Fun-Realtime-ASR-preview and StepFun's StepAudio 3 ASR at 1.7%, Microsoft AI's MAI-Transcribe-2 at 2.0%, and ElevenLabs Scribe v2 at 2.2%, with a speed factor of around 160x
โค Price: Grok Voice Transcribe 2.0 costs $0.20 per hour for streaming, or $3.33 per 1,000 minutes. This is just above Muse Voice Transcribe at $3, below Cartesia Ink-2 at $4, and around half the $6.50 charged for ElevenLabs Scribe v2 Realtime and Deepgram Flux. Non-streaming transcription costs $0.10 per hour, or $1.67 per 1,000 minutes

Iโve decided itโs time to have a little more fun on X this year! ๐โก
I get to speak at some amazing events, meet fascinating people, hear great stories, and occasionally find myself in places I never expected to be. So I figuredโฆ why not share some of those moments here?
And thereโs more!
Iโm also excited to launch my new merch. A little Woz spirit, a little fun, and hopefully a few things bring a smile to your face.
This is just the beginning. More adventures, more stories, and more surprises to come!

ok everyone, i took one for the team
here's the data we all wanted to see - real token value of each LLM subscription, empirically measured through usage on my real subscriptions
- supergrok heavy has now become the highest value at $12k worth of tokens (40x ROI)
- the $200 plan from openai and anthropic roughly give the same amount of token value, $7k give or take
- cursor ultra's ROI is the lowest among mainstream subscriptions, roughly half of OAI or Ant. for individual consumers i'm afraid this no longer makes sense to purchase
this was done in a clean environment. i ran each provider across 5 whole % points of my quota through repeated eval tasks in open source repos, and measured the total token value from all the agent sessions based on API pricing
caveat 1 - this only measures their coding agent quota (which is the majority of the offered value), and does not include things like chat bot or grok bot
caveat 2 - none of the providers commit to never changing this, so this is a snapshot of what the offering looks like today. i cannot guarantee it won't change again
caveat 3 - the token value assumes you exhaust your subscription completely, which may not be realistic in real world usage
This is how easy it is now.
I got Fable + Opus to port Super Mario Kart into.. my C/C++ port of Minecraft which supports Forge-style mods and split-screen multiplayer up to 9 players.
Gameplay from SNES SMK, models from Mario Kart Wii.
