في تسجيل صوتي أرسلته إلى "يمن شباب" امرأة يمنية لاجئة في أرض الصومال تناشد فيه التدخل لحمايتها، لكونها مقعدة وزوجها كبير في السن، وقد تعرّضا مع أطفالهما للضرب المبرّح والإهانات.
وكانت اليمنية وزوجها المواطن السوري قد خرجا في مقطع فيديو يناشدون فيه الرئيس السوري إنقاذهم بعد تعرّضهم للضرب والاعتداء والسحل في أرض الصومال على يد عصابة يساندها أفراد من الشرطة في جمهورية أرض الصومال، على خلفية تأخّر دفعهم إيجار المنزل الذي يسكنون فيه رغم وجود سريان قضيتهم في المحكمة.

Only under Donald John Trump do appointed cabinet members—people who could be fired tomorrow—go before Congress and openly insult elected representatives. There is something fundamentally sick about that.

Congress represents the American people. When you appear before Congress, you are not sparring with politicians—you are answering questions on behalf of the citizens who elected them. Insulting members of Congress is, by definition, insulting the American people themselves.

Unknown to many who now cheer this behavior, it does not last. It never has. The social contract still exists.

And when that contract is broken—when power forgets who grants it—accountability always comes.

Administrations change. Appointments expire. But Congress endures. The people endure. And history is ruthless with those who mistake temporary authority for permanent power.

@RepNancyMace Were the survivors at the press conference yesterday and standing at the congressional hearing underage when they were victims of Jeffrey Epstein? Do they know their abusers? If so why wont they give the names to prevent others from abuse. So confused, anyone have the
