Incredible video. Afghan dad jokingly says school is only for boys. Watch his remarkable daughter - who can’t be more than 5 or 6 years old - respond with these arguments.
Afghan girls have been denied access to schools and universities. This little girl's courage represents the collective voice of countless Afghan girls who yearn for equal educational opportunities.
As an advocate for girls' education the father's teasing is simply to highlight an important message: that the Taliban - another backward regime - are harming the people of his country.
It’s time the world is done with them.
Ditto the “Islamic” Republic in Iran #regime
I’ve been stopped and searched over a dozen times in my life. The first time I was just twelve. Thank you to @ITV for creating and sharing Black Voices. We must listen. We must learn.
This month I’m drawing fictional black / black coded characters in support of #blacklivesmatter mostly from cartoons and games. I’ll post both positive and some pretty awful examples of black representation in media I’ve grown up with. #drawingwhileblack
You know what's really "hating Britain"? Thinking the bits worth defending are colonialism, Empire and racism.
Let's celebrate instead the Levellers, the Chartists, the trade unionists, the suffragettes, the anti-racists, the LGBTQ activists. And let's give them more statues!
I’d rather have a burgundy coloured EU passport than a blue coloured UK-only passport. I’d rather be an internationalist than an isolationist. Please retweet if you agree.
