Over the last few years, we have been working hard @specteraero, quietly building the future of high speed flight. Today, we’re excited to reveal what we’ve been working on: with our advanced propulsion and vehicle technologies we are developing next generation hypersonic systems to connect and protect.
@bscholl Exactly our approach @specteraero although our focus is primarily offensive (although we have the exact same challenges with our offensive munitions)
We applaud @DoWCTO’s call for Scalable Hypersonics as part of the @DeptofWar’s critical technology areas. This is exactly what we have been building at @specteraero and is crucial to delivering deference at scale.
@cwamidon This is definitely a worrying trend and when all of the programs of record that were promised in 12 months never materialize, we will shift to the downward slope of the hype cycle
I was glad to join the my colleagues on the @AtlanticCouncil’s Hypersonic Capabilities Task Force meeting in DC this week for a productive discussion on comprehensive strategy to reestablish American dominance in this critical technology area.

White smoke! The 133 Cardinal electors gathered in the Vatican’s Sistine Chapel have elected the new Pope. He will appear soon at the central window of St. Peter’s Basilica.
@mttgrmm I am continuously amazed it doesn’t work like this. I somewhat hope the databases are linked so that they don’t do a separate precheck investigation but I doubt it.
Sent it! Good flight test thanks to the dedication of the @specteraero team. We proved out key high speed weapon subsystems on our low cost flight test vehicle.
Absolutely horrifying to see a midair which comes after many recent close calls. I fly out of DCA several times a month so this hits close to home. Prayers for all involved.
The FAA confirms tonight’s collision near DCA involved #AA5342 and a US military H60. The helicopter was not broadcasting ADS-B data. The last received ADS-B position from the CRJ was at 01:48 UTC.
AA5342 was en route from Wichita to Washington (DCA) and was on final approach for Runway 33 at an approximate altitude of 300 feet AMSL. https://t.co/CSqWFTglMy
@hesspresso_ and deliver new technologies at scale, finding support from the DoD without needing to rely on some tangential commercial application to fulfill an investment thesis or pay the bills.
@hesspresso_ but many DoD requirements are exquisite and for justifiable reasons (mostly.) As an example, there is no commercial use case for munitions but they are critically important. A healthy defense industrial base is one where non-traditional companies can bring innovative solutions…
