This!! I know it sucks, but I would much rather deal with your frustration of moving slow vs you coming back in hurt a week later. I won’t short cut rehab or send you back until you are ready.
Your kid is my kid…I sometimes see them more than my own. I will always care for them…I will always be here for them, even long after they have moved onto the next chapter!
ATs are a lot like barbers or bartenders.
We hear everything. Athletes unload their thoughts, frustrations, & struggles- they trust us.
Sometimes the most important thing we can do isn’t tape an ankle or rehab an injury.
It’s listen.
Because sometimes…we’re their lifeline.
Farmington United Gymnastics Team took 2nd place at the State Team Competition with their top score of the season at 145.5 on Friday evening. Our 6 top qualifiers were Kayla Dicks, Maggie Freeman, Vanessa Iacabon, Ayla Hougard, Elly Somerton, and Aubrey Woodman. Congrats, girls!!
Trust isn’t built in the moment they walk off the field.
It’s built in the conversations before this.
In the honest answers.
In advocating when emotions are high.
In choosing long-term health over short-term wins.
Athletes trust us.
