From next Monday, 12 Oct, we’re introducing wheelie bin collections to most households.
The new service is easy, good for the environment & saves disposal costs. You can start putting waste and recycling in your bins from today.

@dpoddolphinpro I can't understand why they are trying to build another runway at Heathrow, the current cost and plan are ridiculous.
Gatwick airport 2nd runway much cheaper and will be delivered quickly.
🚆 Good evening from Special Express No. 14 from Chiang Mai to Bangkok. Another day, another sleeper train.
For the journey home, I’m reviewing the 1st Class sleeper cabin. This is a different type of carriage from the one I reviewed on my recent trip from Trang, so it will be interesting to compare the two.
I’m also trying something different tonight. This time my berth has me travelling with my back to the locomotive. I want to see whether that makes any difference to how comfortably I sleep, particularly with the movement of the train during the night.
For now, I’m in the dining car having a light snack: freshly cooked spring rolls, watermelon, and a nice cold Iced Thai Tea.
I’ll retire to my cabin once the sun has gone down. Judging by the sky, we might be treated to a good sunset from the train tonight.
Then hopefully a good night’s sleep as we make our way south to Bangkok. Full review coming soon on Thai Tracks.

🚆 Good evening from onboard Express No. 51 from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. This is my favourite night train on the Northern Line, mainly because of the timing. It reaches one of the most beautiful sections of the route just as the sun is coming up.
The train arrives in Den Chai at around 7:00am and shortly afterwards follows the stunning Yom River. Hopefully tomorrow we will get some morning mist to make the views even better.
Most foreign tourists take Special Express No. 9 to Chiang Mai, but that train passes Den Chai at 2:48am. You don’t really get daylight until after Khun Tan, by which time many of the highlights of the Northern Line have already passed in the dark.
So remember Express No. 51 for your next journey north. It might not be as comfortable or as clean as the newer CNR sleeper train, but it has plenty of character and does the job.
My plan this weekend is to do the journey in two parts. Tomorrow morning I’ll get off at Den Chai and make a side trip to Phrae. While I’m there, I want to check out the local transport options from the railway station to Phrae and also onwards to Nan.
Then on Sunday morning I’ll jump back on Express No. 51 at Den Chai and complete the journey to Chiang Mai. From there, I’ll return to Bangkok on Special Express No. 14.
Should be a productive weekend on the rails.

A fully and rapidly reusable rocket will fundamentally change how humanity accesses outer space. “The Holy Grail of Rocketry” continues the ongoing Starship series with a look back at the scrappy days of SpaceX engineers proving reuse was possible and takes you onboard a high-seas race to recover a floating Starship
Non-reusable Starship build cost estimates are ~$90-100M for the full stack, plus a few million for fuel/ops, totaling around $100M.
Internal marginal cost for a reused Falcon 9 Starlink flight is ~$15-20M, so 10 launches total $150-200M.
Even non-reusable, one Starship delivers equivalent capacity for roughly half the cost.
@SawyerMerritt@Starlink@grok based on the cost of a non reusable starship flight, with deployment of 26 V3 starlink Starlight's, how does the cost compare with the equivalent 10 launches of falcon 9 v2 mini starlink Starlight's.
