In the '90s I was in a play in NY and at one point my character looked out into the audience and I saw Lou Reed with his eyes closed. Laurie Anderson was next to him smiling. Anyway, I love that story.
I’m going to buy every copy so this goes into a 2nd printing. And then I’m going to do it again. And swim in copies like Scrooge McHurlant. Congrats @JLcomics !
The monsters have arrived!! Incredible to finally get to hold this in person! Massive thanks again to everyone at @_MetalHurlant for the honor of this cover!!
Walter Rane’s 1976 cover art for Fritz Leiber’s ‘The Mind Spider & Other Stories.’ This one's in my new art book - I have a whole chapter on plants and animals!
@Ancient0History Leiber’s Thibaut De Castries (Our Lady of Darkness) also drew on Danziger / De Castro’s relationship with Bierce (Hangman’s Daughter another interesting tangent)

Invaders From Mars (1953) was originally to be shot in 3D but there were apparently no 3D cameras available. Meticulously planned out by Director and Production designer William Cameron Menzies, sets were given a sense of depth that led people to believe they were watching 3D.
