The Djenina Palace in Algiers, an arab andalusian palace over 300 years old, razed in 1856. The Es-Sayida Mosque in Algiers, a historic mosque in the heart of the city, demolished in 1832. The Tachfiniya Madrasa in Tlemcen, a school and Quranic university from the Zianid era, more than 500 years old, demolished for nothing by France.

Half of our casbahs were wiped out. And I never see any Muslim get outraged over the colonial history of Algeria.

When you talk about colonialism, you only talk about human losses. Fine, Algeria is the land of 1.5 million martyrs. But there was also a cultural genocide.
