We conservatives need to learn how to wield power. The most effective conservative governor of all time is leaving office soon. Instead of championing his efforts and recognizing that we can pull the levers of government to actually shrink government control and ensure even more conservative outcomes in the future, we as a movement tried to negate him over the dumbest reasons ever. We don’t deserve good leadership if we can’t recognize it, champion it and emulate it. Long live @RonDeSantis and I pray the constituency is able to one day soon see his wisdom, efforts and triumphs as the model for success across the nation.

Today, North Carolina lost a great man with a great family.

Our hearts and prayers are with the NASCAR community, Greg Biffle's loved ones, colleagues, and all those grieving this profound tragedy following the plane crash at Statesville Regional Airport.

Reports confirm a Cessna C550 business jet, registered to a company affiliated with Greg Biffle, crashed shortly after takeoff this morning while attempting to return to the runway. Authorities have reported multiple fatalities, with indications that no one on board survived. Details about the passengers remain limited at this time.

We lift up the Biffle family, friends, team members, and the entire community in prayer, seeking comfort, peace, and strength amid this sudden and devastating loss.

Greg Biffle, a NASCAR icon who launched his career in the mid-1990s, is one of only three drivers to claim championships in both the Busch (now Xfinity) Series and the Craftsman Truck Series. He also ranks among the 36 drivers with wins across all three of NASCAR's top national series, and made select returns to racing, including Truck Series runs with Kyle Busch Motorsports in 2019 and 2020.

Just this past fall, at the Salt & Light Conference, the NC Faith & Freedom Coalition was privileged to honor Greg Biffle—alongside four other local heroes—for his selfless and courageous service in rescue and recovery efforts after Hurricane Helene devastated Western North Carolina.

Today, we mourn the loss of a remarkable racer, aviator, humanitarian, and family man, while holding his beloved family and all affected close in our thoughts and prayers.
