An interesting case at ProBox in Los Angeles.
Najee Lopez (17-0) 🇵🇷 lands a regular body shot against Juan Carrillo (15-1) 🇨🇴 in round 9 that everyone saw (including the ring girl) except the referee.
The fight continued after that and the tenth and final round should have begun, but the fight was later stopped via video review.
In my opinion they should have used video review for this still in round 9, but not retroactively at the start of the tenth.

試合の途中、観客席で見ていた猪木が突然立ち上がる

「やめさせろテメエ！」

「ストップ！」

「どけーオメエら！」

イスを振り回し、フェンスに叩きつけ

「客は怒れこの野郎！」

「こんなチンタラした試合しやがって！」

さらに解説席の蝶野正洋もとばっちり

「オメェーしっかりしろよ！」

「ぶっ飛ばせ！こんなモノ！」

完全に怒りが収まらない

試合後、猪木はリング上で理由を語った

「先ほど画面を見ていたら、耐えに耐えられなくなって、バカ野郎！チンタラ試合しやがって！と出て行ってしまいました」

そして観客にも

「お客さんももっと怒ってください」

控室に戻ってからも怒りは続いた

「かったるいね」

「スタッフも魂とは何であるかと」

「お客さんの中にも満足した人もいると思うけど、リングからメッセージというか、何かに挑戦というか、燃えないといけない」

「それは形を変えれば一つは怒りであると」

「あんなチンタラ試合して金をもらうのかと」

「プロとは何かと教えてない俺たちが悪いかもしれないけど、媚を売る必要はないけど、観客を手の平に乗せるくらいにしないと」

「テメエら出稼ぎに来てるんじゃねーぞ」

「舐められてたまるか」

この猪木の怒りは、単にこの試合がつまらなかったからではないと思う

90年代まで「最強」を名乗っていたプロレス界は、2000年代にK-1、PRIDEという本物の格闘技の巨大ブームに直面した

そして2011年

PRIDEはすでに消滅
K-1もかつての勢いを失い
日本の格闘技ブームそのものが終焉へ向かっていた

そんな時代でも猪木が最後まで捨てなかったものが

「プロレスラーは強くなければならない」

「リングから何かを発信しなければならない」

「客を熱狂させなければプロではない」

という思想だったのだと思う

だから目の前で「チンタラした試合」を見せられた瞬間、67歳の猪木は我慢できなかった

「客は怒れこの野郎！」

今見ると、この一言がものすごく重い

客がつまらないものを黙って受け入れるようになったらプロレスは終わる

猪木がまだメインイベンターとしてリングに立っていた時代、

客は怒っていた

つまらない試合をやろうものなら

「金返せ！」
「ふざけるな！」
の怒号が飛ぶ

長州力の乱入による不可解な決着に観客が激怒
リングには座布団、空き缶、紙コップ、弁当の空き箱まで投げ込まれ

「金返せ！」
「責任者を出せ！」
「長州、出てこい！」

試合終了から40分経っても観客は帰らず、ついには警察が出動する暴動にまで発展した

1987年、大阪城ホール
猪木vsマサ斎藤

海賊男の乱入で試合をぶち壊され、またしても観客が暴動

そして同じ1987年の両国国技館

猪木vs長州を見に来た観客の前に、たけしプロレス軍団が現れ、突然カードが猪木vsベイダーに変更
猪木はベイダーにわずか2分49秒で敗北

納得できない観客が暴徒化し、会場は大混乱となった

あの時代の客は

「つまらないものを見せられたら怒る」

それくらい本気でプロレスを見ていた

だから2011年

「客は怒れ、この野郎！」

と叫んだ猪木の言葉は重い

リング上のレスラーだけではない

スタッフにも
蝶野にも
そして客にまで

猪木は「プロレスに慣れるな」と怒っていたのだと思う

プロレスラーも本気
それを見る客も本気

アントニオ猪木が生きていたのは
そんなプロレスの時代だった
