@DEFlLEDSOUL Living in the NW part of AL & 8 years since beginning my transition/first Pride. I haven’t been in 2 years & frankly don’t feel safe at our Pride Events, especially given that the police force here has 2 officers on their payroll that are affiliated with Patriot Front.

@somethingBurgur @DEFlLEDSOUL I’m close to 40 & never had a single positive experience involving a church, at worst PTSD & hate-mongering fear from those involved with them. I quit going to our Pride when 2 of the sponsors were Christian-affiliated, esp. when one had a livestream of the crowd on their FB.

@DEFlLEDSOUL Living in Alabama is a certain kind of hell as is, but toss in trying to find a stable route of employment while being 🏳️‍⚧️ is nearly impossible. If I had $50 for every time the sky-daddy worshipping, “family establishments” gave me the run around - I could’ve moved by now.

If you speak up, your family & community defends the pastor/reverend/brother/elder/bishop without fail. My former county alone has vehemently defended paedo’s as long as they are Christian

@Inter_Soup Reminds me so much of @DavidKHarbour ‘s character in #DTFStLouis & his ASL performances. As someone who doesn’t hear well & needs assistance with audio, this makes me hopeful for more integration of ASL versions of movies/tv series (HBOMax is good about offering ASK options).
