Remember this Ursa legend? 🐎✨
Ashington is thriving in his new chapter, producing a perfect round today for Anna Walford. Brilliant to see him enjoying retirement from racing and continuing to shine in his second career. 🩷💛
@rosscojmill We’ve needed starter yards for years. Rent a few boxes at training centres like they do worldwide! Towcester for example brand new stable yard unused. If you put a 6 furlong all weather in from the bottom of that hill you could have 6/7 trainers there with their overheads reduced
The most special horse you could ever hope to have as an owner.
Dutch Decoy danced every dance for us at Owners Group. He was a dream. I’m so sad this chapter is over, but ultimately he decided enough was enough.
Thank you for everything Dutchy. Happy Retirement💜
Another day and another good trainer packs up. Sensible for Noel but sad for the sport, the only way to turn the sport round is radical reform of prize money to create sustainability at all levels. Noel’s last winner would have earned £1917 for the Owner… says it all, completely unsustainable and the horses simply won’t be there in the future if this doesn’t change
Happy retirement Captain Guinness.
This is one of my fav photos of the 2024 Cheltenham Festival after Captain Guinness had won the Champion Chase.
Captain Guinness and the lads all smiling for a selfie. Brilliant.
Two from two on the day for @DSkeltonRacing and @harryskelton89!

Brighton Racecourse can today confirm that, following extensive remedial works carried out on the racing surface, a successful inspection on Monday and subsequent gallop trial this morning, racing will resume on Friday 29 May ➡️ https://t.co/m1qPknje2q
Immense damage to horse racing has already been done by affordability checks.
There has been no proper evaluation of the pilots and it appears that they will be green-lighted by @GamRegGB with no Parliamentary debate or scrutiny.
The checks are directly contrary to the Government’s declared support for racing. So I urge @lisanandy to step in and revisit an ill-targeted policy which, after all, wasn’t the Government’s in the first place.
My speech in @UKHouseofLords
Breaking: Diego Lima has been handed a 24-day whip ban for his ride aboard Ranting Duke at York last week.
The rider used his whip more than five times above the permitted level of six and used his whip in the incorrect place on the run to the line.
Ranting Duke - who finished second in the race - has been disqualified under Rule (L)47.11.
