Not sure if it’s made your list yet, but I was recently in London, walking around the city, we found ourselves in an extremely “ritzy” part of town. On a corner where there were no other shops, was a hunting store….clothes, hats, and rifles, anything you need for a proper hunt.
Rich guy/poor guy can buy guns on their neighborhood corner.

What percentage of respondents get news from “mainstream media” and how often? Compare that # to previous. My point is “consumers” are more influenced by “media” today than ever before. And Can we agree “media narrative” is negative (if it bleeds it leads).
Conclusion….lowest Consumer Confidence is not a result from the war (winning) or the economy (growing albeit slowly). It’s from the constant drumbeat of “doom and gloom” reporting which is more impactful today than ever before.
