Is there a way to use PearDeck across devices? If I start it on my desktop, can I access the data on my Chromebook? Also, how can I write on presentations while using it? #iteachmath
@jreulbach Google Forms? Downside is you only get answers. I’ve been using google forms then requiring test corrections for years. Students use their notebooks to find their mistakes and have to write an analysis of their mistake. Are you comfortable with photos of their corrections?
@NBPTS A2: Ss get as much time as they need to process & understand. I asked Ss at the beginning of the semester if they wanted a flipped class. Many said no, but now love being able to do things on their own time. Just need to find balance with flipped & 9-4 school day when we go back.
It’s drive-thru #Graduation2020 day for the seniors at #RanchoCucamonga High. Students were able to walk across the stage to receive their diploma while parents watched & cheered from a safe distance. 1 family at a time. Great work by faculty & staff @RanchoHSCougars#NBCLA
@NBPTS A7: email, @RemindHQ them, or call. Ask what is going on in their lives and ask how they can be supported to make up/catch up. Relate to their feelings if possible. Motivation is hard to keep
@NBPTS A1: @IXLLearning! It gives great data on areas where students struggle and gives immediate feedback to students. It also can provide activities to close learning gaps! We already used this but it had been a lifesaver for math practice! #NBchat
Hey @Verizon, thank you for recognizing teachers as “Those Who Serve”! I’m just wondering why the discount wasn’t extended to all education employees such as data managers, financial secretaries, etc. Our data manager serves our students as much as our teachers!
DANG folks. @JennSWhite is just crushing it with the self-checking @Desmos activities. FOLLOW this collection! https://t.co/gf1XBnHQ7A
Thanks Jenn for all your hard work and especially those blank templates!
@wokeSTEMteacher We are still waiting to hear if the teachers even go to school tomorrow. Announcement was made yesterday to close schools but employees have been given ZERO direction. My school has been on break for the past week.
This is stemming from a Math 3 teacher who is trying to figure out how to teach centers of triangles and circles. Sure, there are many great applets that can be used, but I’m not completely changing my classroom. These students need some sense of “normalcy” in their lives.
While I appreciate all of these companies offering free services, is now really the best time to introduce new technologies? Students shouldn’t be learning a new platform while learning content on their own while being scared/confused/worried.
Today my husband, @Amber_Longhi, and 7 students participated in Polar Plunge for Special Olympics! I love the passion to help others, even if it is a bit cold!!! #GECRocks
Yesterday’s WU was a simple I notice/I wonder to start Expo/Log unit. Great connections made simply in the warm up. We talked history of logs (Ss were shocked to hear they came about in the 1600s). Several Ss said this was the best lesson yet!! Usually Ss dislike logs!
Remember, students who are eligible for a fee waiver have access to 🆓 learning resources to help them prepare for test day!
Not sure who is eligible for a fee waiver? No problem. We've got you covered: https://t.co/27hGfoMQGV
