On Dec 3 a US District Court issued a preliminary injunction to block the Corporate Transparency Act & the Beneficial Ownership Information Reports.

The government has filed a motion to stay the preliminary injunction following an appeal to the 5th Circuit. At minimum, they seek that the injunction be limited to the parties to the case, given the fact that other courts have already ruled against imposing similarly requested preliminary injunctions.
