Imagine being the person earnestly attempting to change the Crime Act to make it illegal for alleged sexual assault survivors to talk about their lived experience?
As opposed to, you know, reforming the justice system to actually prosecuting perpetrators. (1/2)

Having a cute little movie night with my mum but we have to wait for my dad finish watching J*ran B P***trsn. Having to firmly disengage from “troll leftists” and “Andr** T*** isn’t a rapist” conversation just to spend time with my mum.
@GailSimone One of Terry Pratchett’s early books, adapted into a play. A send up of Macbeth, Hamlet and King Lear, with the 3 witches as the heroes. His legendary character Granny Weatherwax is the lead. https://t.co/9vkdJvlUVv
@faryl@GailSimone It sure is. There’s a stage adaptation of Wyrd Sister (and many of Pratchett’s other plays), and I’m directing a production of it in September
Yesterday in rehearsals for Wyrd Sisters the topic of Highlander came up and one of my actors referenced fridging when we discussed the female characters. I asked if she knew who came up with the term and she said @GailSimone AND knew who she was. Colour me impressed.
🧵Should convicted paedophiles be able to use "good character" references to reduce their sentences?
In the past, child sex offenders could use their public reputation for "good character" to lessen their sentence, even though we knew abusers often adopted a 'good bloke' facade/
@ArtistAffame I know of one person getting help with something. It was a motorbike helmet for them to become a postie. That's the only instance of support like that I've ever seen or heard of.
@nickschadegg BAHAHA. Twitter’s gift to this world is average citizens being goblins, which is their civic duty. I hope Threads enables it and doesn’t go deep corporate with brands everywhere
@nickschadegg No ads is bliss. Lots of people on there means there is plenty to look at. Feed is still a bit random and seems everyone is sorta seeing everyone. Needs more goblins on there.
No dms or other functions yet but apparently they are coming.
