Grade variability is one of the most underappreciated risks in junior mining.

Grade variability measures how much mineral grades fluctuate across the deposit from rich pockets to surrounding lower-grade or waste material.

Some deposits are relatively consistent, others swing dramatically over short distances.

High variability is a serious technical risk because it makes resource estimation less reliable, complicates mine planning and selective mining, increases dilution, and frequently causes painful production surprises when actual mill feed deviates sharply from the model.

That’s why the question to ask is always the same: how consistent are those grades across the entire body?
