Looking at the future of health care, with diversions from the Mets and the Mouse

[John Fink @finkfpdoc]

So here's my take on coronavirus. Because someone asked. Or maybe not.

🦠🧵

1/ If I hired you to a new job on Jan 1 with a salary of a penny a week but doubled your salary every week, you'd be pretty pissed right about now making 10 bucks a paycheck.

@Cekent Thousands of principals spontaneously combust every year. It’s just not widely reported.

[John Fink @finkfpdoc]

@AshleyGWinter Cantwell’s Tavern here in Delaware has you covered. House made PB, local jam, cheese, and apple slices. Slam dunk app every time.

@AmericanAir And now your customer relations team needs to work to ensure that everything is reconciled. Now 3 1/2 hours and counting. No other flight has come through for at least an hour.

[John Fink @finkfpdoc]

@AmericanAir 3+ hours for bags at PHL today? Unacceptable. You know who the passengers were on these flights- reach out to all of them and make amends.

I sometimes misspell my own name when signing it. It has 8 total letters.

This is the Japanese Puffer Fish - one of #nature's greatest artists. To grab a female’s attention he creates something that defies belief.

Nature is more amazing than we will ever know. Protect it in all its forms.

@JenLondregan Very sad. I’ll never stick my hand into a scorpion-infested tree stump thanks to Mike Hodges. True cinematic genius.

[John Fink @finkfpdoc]

@JenLondregan Read this earlier today. Damning story.

[John Fink @finkfpdoc]

@TomKMorris @JimHillMedia @Joe_Rohde I thought so too- thanks for the reply

[John Fink @finkfpdoc]

Still curious about this- farming it out to @JimHillMedia and @TomKMorris and all of #distwitter Anyone know if the entrance to the Benin City museum influenced the design of the AK entrance?

[John Fink @finkfpdoc]

Saw this photo while reading an article in the Weekend FT about the Benin Bronzes and thought something seemed familiar. Any chance @Joe_Rohde that this was the inspiration for the Animal Kingdom entrance?

It’s been like this for years

[Literati Bookstore @LiteratiBkstore]

The title of your memoir is the last text message you sent.

[Terry Platchek @TerryPlatchek]

If there is a weapon so dangerous that a group of police officers, whose responsibility is saving children from being murdered, are too afraid to go up against a single person wielding it, that weapon should not be legal.

[John Fink @finkfpdoc]

To any journalist who might see this, I beg you- stop reporting these events as superlatives. The only one who cares that something is the deadliest anything is the one looking for notoriety. Don’t allow them that.

Cool shot as I was heading off to work this morning- from low left to upper right in an almost perfect line:

Jupiter (in the yellow-green of the dawn sky)
Venus (the brightest)
Mars (can’t appreciate the red in this photo)
Saturn (just above a star)
