"Mojeek: Search results independent of Google, Microsoft, and Yandex"
Check out this Q&A with our CEO @ColinHayhurst and independent browser @vivaldibrowser on all things Mojeek: commitment to privacy, the field of search & exciting plans for the future.

@superwuster@RepJayapal Couldn't agree more! Her remarks on G’s Ad network was particularly damning: “Problem is that Google controls all of these entities. So it's running the marketplace. It's acting on the buy side & it's acting on the sell side at the same time, which is a major conflict of interest"
The field of web search is changing. With growing attention over Google’s anti-competitive practices, and especially for Mojeek with @ColinHayhurst joining as CEO & big plans in place to battle the search giants.

I had a lot of fun chatting to @jamesmullarkey on his #WeDontStream podcast. Give it a listen if you can!
We discussed @mojeek's story, being privacy by design & what it's like to challenge big tech in the field of search.
Also make sure to check in on who James chats to next!
We are very excited to announce the appointment of @ColinHayhurst as Mojeek's CEO!
"We believe we have found the perfect fit for Mojeek in Colin, and are confident he can navigate the company through this new and exciting time."

@mojeek@carlhendy Nice work @carlhendy ! Really interesting summary.
If I may add 1 more historic accolade, did you know @mojeek was the first search engine to not track its users? 😉All the way back in 2006!
We have two very exciting announcements to share with you in one go!
- We reached the three billion web page milestone.
- Our first ever mobile app is available to download.

Fancy taking another search engine for a spin @brbarrett ? For something different, how about @mojeek next? 😉 We're building a search engine with no user tracking, but most importantly, a genuine alternative with its own index of web pages (unlike other privacy search engines).
@jonnyevans_cw No worries Jonny! There's only a few SEs that crawl the web & have large indexes (Google, Bing, Mojeek, Yandex), all the rest are metasearch engines.
You might find this interesting, at Mojeek we created this side project which goes into more detail: https://t.co/4V825RD7TB

"Mojeek is the best private web search engine for results that aren’t influenced by a larger company...”
With privacy being a core value, it's fantastic to see @MakeUseOf listing us as one of 'The 5 Best Private Search Engines That Respect Your Data'.

Wait! Research showed a majority of Google’s data collection happens through “background tracking” when its apps aren’t in the foreground and there is little expectation it’s happening. Who gets to approve Google’s apps?????? Oh, I see.
@PriivApp Worth checking out Mojeek as a privacy SE alternative as well if you have the chance. Unlike DDG (and most metasearch engines), we're building our own index from scratch to provide a genuine alternative index, rather than relying on Bing results.
“The Internet is about more than just having access to get online. It is also about access to information and, more importantly, factual information...”
