The audacity of @bphillipsonMP criticising anyone when she will not be turning up to the VAT on private school fees debate on Monday 3 March.
A debate that discusses displaced children under her care, successful schools closing and disabled children being taxed.
Shameless.

Another expert saying what we all know.
Shame they have to use yet another Eton photo, as though there aren't other schools. But good article.
No, it’s not April 1st, but we had to double-check.
It seems now that American Forces personnel using independent schools won’t pay #SchoolFeeVAT—yet everyone else does, including UK military families. Talk about #TwoTierKier. #Shameful. Education should be supported, not taxed. SCRAP IT.

"Quality education is not a luxury—it is a human right." The UN confirms it, and we couldn’t agree more.
Sensible governments worldwide don’t tax education; they support and encourage it.
How has the UK reached a point where PM @Keir_Starmer—a Human Rights lawyer—is taxing education?

🙏@UKLabour's unprecedented tax on education is now under legal scrutiny. Today the High Court has fast-tracked an appeal against Labour's 20% VAT on school fees, with parents arguing it breaches human rights. READ MORE👉 https://t.co/RCN939astD

This is Dave.
Dave is a leftie that thinks kids shouldn’t have choice in education. Dave thinks because somebody has something he doesn’t it should be taken away.
Dave is an idiot. Don’t be like Dave.

@waitfather1@AnthonyG0528 Me too. I found it so hard, I wanted to do more, but had to sit and wait. I couldn’t bear to say about going to mum, I wasn’t that brave.
@MarieTidball A tiny proportion of kids need food support. Given they should be supported. But they already are and food producers help them. Why do you need to take more tax to pay for breakfasts for families that don’t need them/don’t want them?
"Privilege" is being able to buy a £2-4m house in the catchment area of a good state school and have the taxpayer cover your child's education while enjoying 5star holidays, top of the range luxury cars and building extensions. You also have a substantial nest egg of said £2-4m house , mortgage paid off and a nice big fat pension to retire on as you let the state / the ordinary working tax payer pay for your children’s education 👇👇
But @UKLabour think it’s fairer to add 20% vat on the education of kids , some of which are SEN / disabled kids , whose parents are ordinary working people like plumbers , electricians , taxi drivers , nhs nurses .. these parents already pay their taxes & save the state/ tax payer £billions every year NOT to educate their kids , this free’s up valuable state school places in already overcrowded state classrooms … it’s an ideological mystery 🤔🤔

“Many parents…who have children with autism know that their children don’t have time to spare & therefore they choose independent education because it guarantees (they) can access the support & environment they need in order to be able to learn.” https://t.co/oSwDy9ypz7
The @UKLabour and @bphillipsonMP under @Keir_Starmer are destroying valuable educational assets of this country and calling it progress as yet another school announces its closure.
And before people pipe up quoting the school's existing financial difficulties, the 20% VAT, Employers' NIC and the removal of business rates relief ensured they had no chance of survival.
We should be SUPPORTING these schools that are struggling and take a burden of £8,000 per year off the taxpayer, not crippling them.
You will each go down in history for this cruel and spiteful policy of class-envy politics.
Shame on you. Seriously, shame on you all.
@elonmusk probably doesn't know about this yet, though he won't be surprised by it.
WTAF?!?!? @Keir_Starmer says we must use private if we can to relieve NHS whilst @bphillipsonMP burdens the state sector whilst single handedly trashing the private sector: have these people actually met?! It’s like they are on different sides..someone have a word please
🚨 NEW: The £1.7bn raised from VAT on private school fees will not be ring-fenced to fund state schools, despite Rachel Reeves promising it would last weekend

“My friends, my teachers, my work — all gone.
The government has no idea who I am & no idea how this has upset me and my work. I feel invisible & powerless and as though I don’t matter.”

@UKLabour's fine with using the independent sector for health—more choice for patients is good, right? But when it comes to education, the independent sector is bad and should be taxed to discourage its use. Patient choice = good, parent choice = bad? #DoubleStandards #EducationNotTax
