Palestine Action activists have received more prison time than every British soldier who murdered Irish civilians combined
There is no justice in Britain
@Aylmer51@NathanTBatWaver literally just the DfT budget allocated to each company. completely separate from ticket revenue, which goes directly to central government. flexible tickets are TOC-agnostic.
not to mention in rhosneigr earlier (where 2nd train people are visiting soon) some football fans noticed chloe's scotland shirt and we had a lovely chat there too. gives me some faith in humanity, most people out and about are lovely and it's only online that's full of trolls
genuinely had such lovely interactions on trains today. some women on the train from holyhead had a great convo with @thegirlchlo_ and i about politics, travel, all sorts, and some people got on our train from chester back home and had a lovely chat with us too
@Aylmer51@NathanTBatWaver ticket prices are generally set by the department of transport, under central government. a pot of money for non-operational costs will be allocated to TOCs, who spend it as they see fit (including for things like this)
Remember when Musk challenged the World Food Program to explain how he could solve world hunger with just $6 billion, they did, and he just completely ignored them?
Gut wrenching to see four young people jailed for direct action against an arms supplier to Israel.
Years in prison for protesting to save lives in Gaza, with 'terrorism' used despite no jury convicting them of it.
A truly dangerous attack on the right to protest.
